Distance you Drive to Bass Pro Shops

Recommended Posts

There is a possibility of a BPS being built in a large commercial/retail developement 5 mi. from my house.  However a political group funded by who knows who is against it because of tax incentives.

Tell me how far you drive to your BPS or other favorite Outdoor Sports Store.  Please.

My closes is right here on the computer LOL, but really Orlando is about 45 minutes away.  I also go to wallyworld quite a bit.  The local tackle store love seeing me come in also.  Actually had a first the other day, I walked out of the store without spending a cent.  The owner said he was going to have to lay a girl off and turn off some lights  LMAO

I drive 2 hours to Nashville to go to a BPS. My mother in law lives there so it is usually a big trip. I do must of my shopping at local stores but I usually make one big order or trip to BPS and drop a lot of cash.

Raul, will it be closer to come here to Phoenix when/if it opens? If so I will pick you up at the airport. BPS would 15 min. from there. I will even take you to the family restaurant, the El Charro.

Cheers ;)

Ric

Thanks ! but then I would have to fly or drive to Mexico City and then take a flight to Phoenix, Houston or Dallas are direct flight from Leon.

Raul, Too funny. Twenty minute drive, two hour flight and another fifteen minute drive, just too funny. So, you go there often?

I'm ten or fifteen minutes away.

In the last two years I 've done it three times RW, two to Dallas and one to Houston, really, I had to be there and stay overnight so if I was already there, why not ? it 's incredible how fast you can whack a grand in such a short period of time :o, it only took me about two hours..... :-/, the great thing about BPS Grapevine ( Dallas ) is that you don 't have to spend in a cab, you just call the store and they send a shuttle to pick you up, now that 's what I call customer service ! ;D

Thanks Mudpuppy, next time I have to go I 'll give you a holler. Normally I go with a friend that lives in Mesquite but he 's not always there.

I drive about 25 min to Cabelas in Kansas, and soon a BPS will open <next spring  :'( > and it will be about 25 min as well. Right now the nearst BPS is in Columbia, MO. Next would be Springfield, MO.

Right now the closest one is outside Houston, about 2 1/2 hours away.  That's the downside.  Upside is they are building one about 15 minutes away-already clearing the land-and a new Cabelas about an hour north of here is about to open.  I drive by it almost every day so my commute will soon get a little longer ;) ;D

I live in Washington and it would take me more than a day to drive to Las Vegas one, I have been to the one in Nashville while on vacation and next year me are going to table rock and will visit the BPS headquarters in springfield. But to get to my favorite stores it takes 10 min. to Wal-Mart/ 15 min. All Marine/ 40 min. to SPORTCO/ 1 hour to Outdoor emporium.
