Manufacturers will ignore the next WR angler if...

Featured Replies

All this brooha about the next WR being a guaranteed money fish or not gave me a funny idea.

I think its a sure thing, but others have posted scenarios where the angler catching the world record would not make any money.  So let's see how many we can come up with?

We should try to keep this thread within the bounds of good taste, but with some of the imaginative folks we have out there this could get really funny.

ok, I made a post on a different thread but I'll add this one.

The manufacturers will ignore the next angler who catches the world record bass if.....He is a convicted pedophile on parole and fishing as a volunteer with his local boy scout troop.

next....

After further genetic testing, it's found the FISH are the ones on Steroids......  ;D

the fish comes in at 45# and is 51 inches long The paint starts to run and the lateral line is sliding off the fish Suddenly someone notices that the fish has teeth and was taken on a MUSKIE SPECIAL SPINNER BAIT maybe we should look at this a little closer.......... :-/

After futher examination, biologist find that the fish has been weighted down with sinkers!

... after they find out it was caught on a really crappy hand-poured lure!

If it is caught in a glorified bathtub and is handfed high protein fish food its whole life.

Forget about them Kaliforny lakes ! here in Mexico where we put our money where we say the goverment of Tamaulipas offers 1 million dollars in cash tax free for anyone that catches the WR in the lakes of the state.

If you happen to be the operator of the electo-shock boat at the DNR.

if the fish chokes on that six pound trout shoved in its mouth

If your name is Mac "sir snags a lot" Weakley. ;)

If the bass was caught on a "drop shot' rig: 7'6" heavy action flipping stick, 1 oz. bell sinker, #1 treble hook, 2" white grub.

Upon turning the lunker over, sticker on bottom of fish saying "Made in California"

if your name is paul tormanem

Now that right there is funny!!!   ;D

No chance it will be ignored because some bait will catch it and that is a financial windfall for whomever manufactured it. Just like at the Classic.....look at the Chatterbait, Sweet Beaver, Senko. None of these baits has won a Classic yet they recieved exposure and have sold strongly. Catching the WR whether it is under positive or negative exposure will produce millions for that respective bait company.

Who the heck is paul tormanem?

This may clear it up

Paul Tormanen, a 39-year-old angler from Lee's Summit, Mo., was arrested at the recent Red River Bassmaster Central Open and charged with contest fraud. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) alleges that Tormanen tied fish to stumps prior to the competition days, then weighed at least one of those fish in the tournament. He was subsequently disqualified from the tournament and banned from BASS competition for life.
