Proper Way to weigh a bass?

The easiest way is the way the majority of fishermen do it. Hoist up that 13 inch bass and say, ah..another 3 pounder!

Nailed it...

I have a buddy who posts photos of every 1.5-2 lb. smallie he catches and refers to them as "another four-pounder."  He does not own a scale.  If he gets one now, it will only disappoint him.  ?

Wonder how we will be weight bass 15 years from 2021?

Every boat will have a 50 lb. triple beam scale as standard equipment. Or maybe someone will invent a rod that weighs the fish for you. I guess it could also take pics and video of the fight.

The best way is probably with a weigh bag of some sort but the way I like is you take you favorite scale and remove the hook, and add a plastic Rapala gripper to the end. No harming the gills and no holes in the fish.

We'll probably have something like Tony Stark's JARVIS in our sunglasses at that point that will probably say, "There's a 3.2 pounder next to that laydown." before we even cast.

I'm sure Garmin, Humminbird, and Lowrance are working on FFFWIS( FORWARD FACING FISH WEIGHING IDENTIFYING SONAR) at this moment. It'll be a unit with a 3 - 4" display that must be used with one of their flagship fish finders for a unbelievably affordable $8700.
