Should i?

Featured Replies

There is this one lake i love to fish, mainly, because i catch fish there. I have gone several times with other people in their bass boats. Now im curious, should i try to take my 12' aluminum boat out there, it only has a trolling motor, and a pair of oars. The lake is 528 acres. There is an insane amount of boat traffic in the summer. Right now, i dont think too many people are out on it. Does it sound safe, or logical?

I would add: yes, affirmative, without a doubt :D

Wear a PFD and be careful. You can get in trouble in small boat if the wind kicks up. Go and have fun. ;D

wear a life jacket and take a buddy.

If your boat floats you should take it on the water.  A 528 acre lake is still fairly small.  Even when the boat traffic is bad you should be able to find some coves to fish with your 12 foot aluminum boat.
