My mom read this somewhere. A girls goldfish has started swimming upside down, almost dead. In a last ditch effort, the mom googles what to do with gold fish swimming upside down. She finds a site that says to put poiled peas into the fishbowl. She does. Sure enough, next morning, the fish is back to normal.

My question is, does this only work with goldfish, or is this the new way to keep bass alive in a tourney?

I think I read somewhere that pea's help when goldfish are having some sort of problem with their swim bladder.

Feeding your goldfish peas is a great way to save your floating goldfish but it will do nothing to improve the survivability of other species of fish. This miracle cure for goldfish is as simple as constipation. It doesnt have much to do with the swim bladder as it does with a goldfishes stomach being clogged with protiens.  The peas are very simple to digest and basicly push all the hard to digest stuff through and help regulate digestion.  Nothing like steamed peeled peas to keep your little ornge friend regular.... ;D
