i was wondering if any one else used an ear plug above the hook to make the bait float better?? or if there is anything else that you guys use to make the bait float better??

Not yet but I am thinking of doing it on Kerr at the end of this month just to have a different presentatiion.

I've been thinking along the same lines.  Basspro and Cabela's have a hard foam float, about the size of a contact cold capsule that is specific for this.  Have only tried them in the pool but they do float the worm, mostly the front end of course.  Might be a good idea to use them in conjunction with a floating worm/lizard to give it a little more boost.  Also heard of "larding" the plastic with bits of styrofoam.  

You could also try floating worms but you have to look real hard to find 'em on the store racks.

No but my friend has used it before a has had good luck but i was just seein if  anybody else has and see if they like doing it... I was planing to use a floatin lizard.... :
