whats it like meeting other members

Featured Replies

those of you who have met each other face to face,  tell the truth,  did you have a picture in your head of what that person looks like per there bass resource name?  then when you meet are you shocked or not surprised?

I've met a bunch of members and have never been really surprised at who showed up.

I have met two guys and they have been what I pictured.

Both are very nice and enjoy fishing.

No telling how many I walked by, not knowing that they were forum members.

Just look for my LSU cap, yellow fishing shirt or sweatshirt and it is me!!!!!

Heck...I stick out like a sore thumb. Why? Because I represent!  8-) Anytime I am fishing I am wearing my BassResource.com shirt and hat. I also use my BassResource.com hand towel. So anyone who walks by me can clearly tell I am a member.

I have fished with GMAN and Fishing Doug. Both were great guys and fun to fish with. In fact GMAN and I will be teaming up for our MIssouri Members Fishing Tournament on April 21st. That way we can get our butts handed to us by Cart7. ;D

I met Ex-Navy yesterday at work his is from my home town but I think he said he now lives in Florida. It totally awesome, we talked fishing with another associate I work with and another costumer. He said he doesn't post much but reads everyday and has learned a lot.

Last year,  I was elated to have guys come to a lake that I love.     The weather didn't cooperate and the results were mixed, some personal bests were caught.

We have a forum in Texas that is primarily Texans, and we compete on the same waters all year.    The sharing of info is very tight lipped, and shared with PM's most of the time.

This is what makes this forum so special, the free flow of info shared with all.

We all share at least one common thread, some form of bass fishing.

I'm excited on meeting new faces.

Hookem

Matt.

Haven't yet, but SURE hopeing and looking forward to it ;D!!!

Never met a member before, but if anybody lives in Mid-Missouri (around Jefferson City), hit me up. I'd love to fish to with ya. Gotta boat?

I have fished with a couple of members. One,Bud,I think I actually met before I knew he was a member at a tackle shop(turns out we're both junkies).I invited him on an outing and I can say he is a great angler and a nice guy!We fished in 40 degrees and big time wind.

More recently,I met with Dink.He drove almost 4 hours to come down and fish with me on Barkley.Super cool guy!I guess I don't antisipate what someone would be.Cause I all I need to know is they love to fish! ;)

Hey Muddyman here: well I just met RW and his wife and earlier today we met RiskKid and his girlfriend and I have to see these folks have exceeded anything that could be imagined.

Risky cookes us some steaks , RW made the best ribs I have ever tasted in my life. And both have made their homes open to me ,Ron and Alpster. I can not wait to meet the rest of you. So the bass bus and RW will get there , to the Fork tommorow. I am grateful to Glenn for making this spot avaiable to us all and How can I ever thank Alpster, RW and RiskKid because without thier help and support none of this would be possible

See you guys at the Fork

imo it would be awsome to meet some of the other memebers but since ima kid an cant drive that would be pretty hard to do   :( maybe somday  8-)

I've met one person from the site and he is the Conservation Officer for Virginia; Hillbilly_Hooker aka Robert Blankenship. And I've talked to LBH about that creating a video thing on Windows Movie Maker. I would love to meet many other guys and hook up and go fishing sometime, that would be a thrill.

God bless  8-)

Most of the guys I've met, have posted pictures so I already had a pretty good idea.

I can't see how it matters much.

If you go with expectations your bound to be disappointed, but if you go with the idea that "i'm going to spend a few hours with a BassResource.com guy" it should be fine.
