Is the spawn almost over.

I dislocated my leg 2 weeks ago and I coulden't move for a half month.

Hav I realy missed the bes time to fish. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

were do you live at....down south it might have but im not sure.but were i am it hasnt even begun to happen

LOL, what spawn? Water temp today was 41*  :-? : Air temp was 25 this morning, the guides on my rods were frozen solid.  

Where im at, the spawn isnt for another month if the weather doesnt change. Its usually at the end of march-april. I live in SW michigan.

Down here it was supposedly just starting when the front blew through.  Probably slowed it a good bit.

It's not an overnight thing.  A spawn can last weeks and weeks, plenty of time for you to hobble down and make a few casts.  Heal up, the fish miss you.

Where I"m at, the spawn usually begins in mid-April and can last up to four weeks, and sometimes more.  We had a very warm late March and it looked like the spawn had a chance to begin earlier this year, but during the last week temperatures have been winter-like.  We set a record low on Friday morning of 18.  Highs are barely touching the 40s.  Water temps are still low 50s, though Truman and Lake of the Ozarks were touching 56 and 57 before the cold spell.  

No. Its not over. In Missouri we just got a serious cold front that drop temps from 70's and 80's down to 40's for a week. That just postponed the spawn longer. It has to the 70's for a week to get the lake temp to meet that. Another reason ponds are better, water warms a lot faster. In some small ponds around you the spawn may have started, but its definately not over. Like other said prior, it lasts weeks and weeks.

The tail end is here in CA where I fish.  

Even if the spawn was over, who cares !?!? Fish eat all year ! Personally, I'm anxious for them to hurry up and get done making babies, so I can go out and stick some that are actually looking for a meal..... even if its windy like it always is around here !

However, with this said, fish will actually come back up to a spawning bed, well after they are completely done laying eggs, and go through the motions again, anyway..... I mean, even "months" later ! They will often be tougher to sight fish at these times, "but possible".

I caught the 15-12 in my avatar on August 27th, in a spot that looked like a bed.... but in late August ? ...and don't let that huge belly fool you, that is a straight up "trout-gut" :-)

Just depends on where you are. Few things were mentioned first of all Matt mentioned water temp being 41, and then again where Im at in south mississippi the water temp was 66 mid last week. Fish have been spawning last 2-3 weeks here. Also LBH mentioned the spawn lasting several weeks keep that in mind it will happen slowly and all the fish wont spawn at the same time so maybe you will get a chance to go.
