Is this a Problem...

Featured Replies

I'm only a kid who joined this, because it didn't say I had to be a certain age, should I not have joined??? Because I love fishing, especially for Bass... :-/

yea what he said ^^^^ lol,,,,just out of curiosity why did you think you had to be older?

welcome to the forum.

I'm new here, so no offense to anyone. I'm a heavy web forum user by profession. This site uses too many forum topics. When I select General Bass Fishing the board topics should be at the top, depending on screen size you have to scroll down almost an entire page to get to the general posting area. The "Important Topics" should be at the original forums page. Why scare off new users with having to learn how to get to the posting areas? The outage earlier seems to have solved our speed problems, the site is ripping now.

Bass_Catcher,

What type of lake/river body do you fish?  Please describe it as accurately as possible.

In PA, Grouse Hall is a place I fish, small, it is part shallow, shady, and mostly deep. There are all kinds of fish, trout, bass, and I also think pike or something. Leisure lake is different... It's BIG, nowhere is shady, and there are WAY more than three types of fish.... My dad caught a pickerel....

You are welcome in all sections of BassResource.com, but the "Young Anglers" section is only for members under 18. Except for the Administrator and Moderators, that section cannot be seen by older members. So, it's something special, just for you!

I guess I can't post those naked pics of my girlfriend with her first LMouth, but welcome to the forum.

Maybe after you have been here more than a week, you will find the site easier to navigate.

Improvements are always possible.  Maybe the arrangement of the posting areas could be better, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to find them.  I'd be surprised if a single person has been "scared" away.   If you just put your mouse pointer over the Fishing Forums menu at the top, all of the forums are displayed for you to choose from without scrolling down.

Wlcome and fire away the fellas here will help you out ;)

Welcome Youngster,

You have definitly come to the right place.  You will learn much here, and if stay around you will no doubt make good friends.

One suggestion.  Be careful about posting your email.  I don't recommend it as it will draw spammers (notice we can hundreds of "visitors" daily)

The is a personal messaging PM service that is provided for you to make private communications with other members.

If you wish to delete your email address you can do so simply by clicking back to your post.

click on "modify" then just delete your email and substitute PM me.

By the way, there is no need to use the PM feature for suggestions, tips, lures, techniques etc.

Browse the articles in the beginners section, and just post your questions on the boards.  That's why they are there.

It may take a little time to get the hang of the place, but it's well worth the effort.

good luck and have fun

No need to be shy,  PM the photo's to me and I'll let you know if they are appropriate.

This site has a ton of info. Back when I started fishing, the internet didnt exist! Seriously, I know I am only 25, but when I started fishing we didn't have wonderful online forums. I had to ask random people that I met tips and techniques. Welcome to the board and have fun.

Welcome aboard. I started Bass fishing at the ripe old age of 13 myself. I would have loved to find a place like this back then, but unfortunately, there was no internet!  ;)

Just out of curiosity... how old are you? I had my daughter catching Bass on plastic t-rigged worms by the age of 4 by herself! She's almost 14 now and still likes to go Bass fishing with me from time to time. It's a good thing to start out fishing while you're still just a kid! 8-)
