Summer time fishing

When is the best times to go fishing in the summer? (8:00-9:00 etc.) Thanks

I don't know. But here in the Rochester, New York area, I've had excellent fishing in clear water under bluebird skies, as well as evenings and other low light times. I don't know where you're located, but I'd try whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I'm in North Carolina, and have the best luck between 7:00 and 10:00 pm.

I live in central Florida & believe it or not "mid-summer" is an excellent season for bass fishing (Florida-strain bass are heat-tolerant)

I've found that the best time-of-day is basically random, because it tends to vary from one day to the next.

If I had to pick one best time though, I'd probably go with the period between late-afternoon and sunset.

Now...if you're talking about the best time-of-day for Big Bass, then I'd have to go with midday.

My favorite time in mid-summer is from 10 am to 3 pm, especially during a warm front bushy-browed.gif 8-)

3pm-8pm here, parks usally close by dark...so i wouldn't know how night fishing is here. :-/

Here in Oklahoma unfortunately it seems the best times for me anyways are right in the middle of the day when the sun is beating down on you.  I fish bright colored baits in water some times as shallow as 1ft.  Now that I think about it I never really fish water deeper than 3-5 feet and kill with a weightless trickworm walking the dog just under the surface.  The fish out here just can't stand it, and have to come up and check it out.

The old sayin' "You can't catch 'em if yer not fishing" comes into play here and whenever you get a chance to go is the best time. It can vary from place to place but here in VA, I can always rely on the topwater bite in the late evening before dark, my preference being buzzbaits.  I have never tried night fishing for bass but am determined to give it a try this summer eventually.  So depending on the amount of time available to you to get out there, if you are busy during the day and only have an hour 'til dark, make the best of it and throw a LOUD buzzbait and see what happens.
