Best Bass Fishing

Gotta throw my home state in as well.   The All Time BASS record could fall in 3 days, 42 and change could be done easily.    Consider Fork doesn't get a shot cause of the slot.

We can match any state lake for lake on huge bass, we just don't have the correct climate to raise the 20's.       Cali owns that distinction.    But chances for a DD is just as good or better in Texas.

Hookem,

I'd have to say Maine for total weight of bass boated in a day.  You'd be amazed at the numbers of bass over 2.5 pounds you can catch in one day in Maine.

CA for pure size.

Without question California! 20+ of the top 25 bass were caught in SoCal. If you want tons and tons of 5-7# fish, check out the Delta, Clear Lake and many of the reservoirs of California.

Our winters are mild and fishing year round is never a problem.

Often times a 25# bag won't be heavy enough to cut a check at local team tournaments.

If you want numbers, check out DVL or Perris right now. All the 3-4# bass you want!

If y'all want bass that are 15# plus then California; if y'all want numbers of bass in the 6-9# range with double digits sprinkled throughout in good numbers then Texas is your choice.

Have a look at the Lone Star Shootout Falcon Lake, Zapata, TX;

Pro Aaron Martens 10 bass 79-13

Co-Angler Randall Jackson 10 bass 57-14

Guys are getting broke off using 65# braid! All of this under post frontal conditions with 20 mph+ winds from the north; and wait Amistad is next on the list.

That is Texas Redneck Bubba Bass Fishing ;)

I've only Bass fished in Northern Ca but i can't imagin bass fishing getting any better. We have lakes rivers and ponds. The delta offers some thing like 3 million miles if fishing oppertunitys. i live withing 30 min of 5 lakes tha are known for exsepitinle bass fishing and  2 hours from clear lake. and 10 min from some ponds that i fish all the time

With all this going on it's realy hard to not call in sick to work twice a week ;)

Tha only down side is the cost of living here.

Gas $3.60 ga fishing lic $62.00 after all the bells and whisles

and next to no game wordens >:( but that a whole nother rant

I use to live in Nashville, TN and the fishing at local ponds, Percy Priest and Old Hickory was outstanding.  I only wish I had more time to fish when I lived there.  I was working 6 days a week 12 hours a day.

I'm sticking with MN.  We don't have the DD's but we have enough water to keep it it real interesting.  You can get on some good northern MN lakes midweek and not see another boat all day if you are lucky.  I'll take 3's an 4's and smaller crowds any day over big crowded lakes with DD potential.  Only thing I hate about MN is our very short season.  I gotta cram some serious fishing into 3 month time frame.
