I got the pleasure of interviewing one of bass fishing's top pros, Jeff Kriet at the 2008 Classic.

Here is the video.

Enjoy!

Sound Card on my work PC went bad and since BassResource doesn't provide Closed Captioning for the Audio Challenged, I'll have to wait till tonight to check it out.  I will definitely watch (and listen to) the interview later on.

Every one who aspires to be a tournament fisherman should watch this interview. He pretty much laid it out on what or what-not to do by his personal experience.

Thanks Glenn for the very entertaining interview.

Great interview. One thing that he talked about that stuck with me, was to slow down and work an area. When I am fishing new water, I tend to get in a hurry and move to the next spot trying to establish a pattern. Instead, I need to have confidence in the spot I am currently fishing and stick with it for a little longer.

He also just emphasized how darn good KVD is.....

Jeff seems like a cool guy and I will pull for him.

Great interview Glenn, outstanding questions. Jeff was extremely informative and open with his answers. It is refreshing to see such a down to earth type pro. Then again all fishing pros seem that way, unlike the NBA. I really liked his advice on how not to go pro, great to see he learned from his mosatkes and accepts them, this will pay dividends on the water.

Great questions, Glenn. I think you created a great resource for the members, especially a lot of the young guys who are trying to pursue professional careers.

BTW Glenn, I like the Brady Bunch question. How many votes does that make for Marsha? By my count that's 2 Marsha and 0 for Jan, or maybe I missed some other interviews...

Great interviews. Good questions. I watched all three of them.

One of the most intriguing points that Jeff made was to fish your early tournaments as a non-boater. What a great way to gain knowledge!

BTW, you misspelled exclusive.

Great interview Glenn.  I thought Jeff answered all the questions pretty thoroughly.  Add him to the list of pro anglers I would like to spend a day with.  Good guy.

Great interview. Good questions and insights. Jeff seems like a good guy. Setting a time limit for a given area is something I need to start forcing myself into. I know I stay too long - too often. I also agree on the co-angler point as well. Very well done.

I'll have to find the other interviews now..

Very good interview.  Jeff Kriet offered some good insight into many of the complexities in professional bass fishing.

If it wouldn't violate BR policy, would you consider putting a link in the interview to the pro's official website, or profile link at BASSs website.  That way we could easily click to the best link to find out more about the angler.

Excellant interview..Jeff seems like a pretty decent guy..he and Zona had me laughing my butt off on The Worlds Greatest Fishing show

Great stuff Glenn!

Very interesting and again some very good questions.

Thank you Glenn.

8-)

Excellent Job Glenn.  Kriet seems to be a great guy and the part about fishing Elites as a Non-boater makes all the sense in the world!

I had a buddy who fished them for 2 years as a nonboater (a couple each year) and he said it took years off of his learning curve (He is now fishing the Elites as a boater!)

Isn't it amazing the power of doing an interview, even for the person doing it.  I know Kriet gained a bunch of fans that he might not have had just from doing that one 12 minute interview on this website.

Awesome work Glenn!  The Knowledge Monkey is screaming " I NEED MOOOOORREEEEEE!"   ;D

Great interview Glenn  :)  There's some really good info in there.

Glenn great interview. While I only fish one Tx per year, slowing down and giving yourself a time limit are excellent points.
