Tomorrow morning I'm going to fish some stained water. What bait do ya'll suggest I use for early morning? Top water, spinner, buzz, or?

It may not be the right or most popular thing to do early, but I always toss out a spinnerbait, more often than not, and depending on conditions, I'll snag at least 1 fish.that way I don't get skunked.. ;D

Tossin soft plastic's or a crankbait would'nt hurt either.

Up at my cottage in ontario Canada, for the morning we were throwing senkos and went 4 for 5 on casts. Also buzzbaits work nice.

Early morning= topwater= Zara Spook Puppy

That' what I'll be throwing first thing in the mornin tomorrow for my tourny.

This year I am going to stick to the buzz bait.  In the past I feel I have given up on it to quickly.  After doing some research about how to throw them and the best conditions to throw them in, I hope to hammer them.

If your water is 60 degrees or greater,.....WAKE BAIT!!

I would cut a 6" hole in the ice and use a jigging rapala, 1/8 oz., tipped with a couple of waxworms.

Another vote for the buzz bait  i was pitching one this morning at 9:45ish and within 10-15 mins i already landed two 3+ lb fish. IMO any bait you do choose to toss, do it with confidence and be patient for that one big one! Im headed into my first tourny Sunday and will probably be throwing a buzz first thing. Ghost minnow with red hook and red blade can't be beat. I've personally seen it outfish many a buzzbait.
