Featured Replies

Im having a hard time finding a flipping jig that i like. Im thinking of buying a mold and pouring my own since i cant find one that i really like. Looking for a good flipping jig in a 1/2 ounce. What is everyones favorite jig to flip in anything from brush to docks and even bluffs.

In my hands a flipping jig doesn 't have long life, many last only a flip cuz ----> if you ain 't fishing them where they can be hung up and get lost you ain 't fishing them where the fish are, so, I 'm cheap with flipping jigs, as long as it has a good quality hook I 'll purchase the cheapest I can find. BPS jigs are what I purchase.

pro line jigs in brown/purple or straight brown with a zoom chunk trailer.

My opinions on jigs

Best in heavy cover: Oldham's Lures Trailer Hitch Jig

Best Hook: O. Mustad & Son A.S. Model 32796BLN straight shank round bend in 4/0 or 5/0

Top colors: Black-N-Blue, Black Neon, Black Neon/Brown/Amber

Weights: ¼, 3/8, & ½

My opinions on trailers

#1 Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws

Zoom Swimmin' Chunk & Salty Pro Chunks in sapphire blue

Uncle Josh #11A Original Chunk & #23 Kicker Frog in blue

Rage Tail Lobster in colors to match jigs

My opinions on rattles is that I find them to be unnecessary but on the rare occasion that I use one it will be either Strike Kings Pro Model Jig or Lunker Lures Original Rattleback Flipping Jig

T-rig.  That is one nice jig.  I love the trailer as well.  What size, color, and trailer?

Must get me a few of those.

River rat +1 on the blue flake with the craw T-Rig has as a trailer !!

That must be a RageCraw? Or a knock off, one nice looking trailer either way..... Im gonna go up stairs and break out the clay and see if I can make my own

My "at the moment" favorite is the Outkast RT jig, 1/2 oz Black and Blue, but I bought a bunch of Davis Paca Jigs to try this year, we'll see how I like them.

I just started using All Terrain Jigs and Revenge jigs.  Both seem to be pretty dang good.

It's a 3/8oz. Davis Paca Jig in Green Pumpkin Crawfish.

Trailer is a Strike Rage Tail Craw in Watermelon Red Flake.

I have a Revenge Flipping jig.  They look pretty nice I am hoping to get to some boat docks soon to try them out. 8-)

Gotta go with the PJ's Jigs

-Wide gap hook

-All direction rattle

-Stand up jighead

Like any other piece of tackle, it depends on your budget.  If money is no object; the Tru-tungsten jigs would be my choice.  You just can't deny the tungsten difference.  A tungsten jig paired with fluorocarbon and a sensitive rod is a blast to fish....I have 'feelings' my wife would be jealous of.
