new to fishing all together with 2 boys in cub scouts and myself as den leader need to know of best places for kids to fish and learn

Welcome to the forum! You don't mention where you are, so to answer your query will be difficult. Since you are the den leader for your sons' troop(s) and all of their friends, I'd suggest in a generic manner, that private ponds (if you can get landowners consent), lakes, rivers, coastal areas (if you're close enough).

Welcome aboard!

You can start by reading some of the "Fishing Articles" (link at the top of this page) or here:

The best thing you could do is to get some help from experienced fishermen. It's one thing to read about it, but quite another to actuually get out and do it. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring a guide to fish with for a few days. That will put you on the fast tract.

Howdy!!!!!!

Welcome Aboard!

Hello and welcome to the board!!! I'm new to fishing myself about 2 months now, and you will find these boards have TONS to offer.  Again, welcome to the wonderful world of fishing!  8-)

have them start fishing for bluegills and bream

get a couple cheap inline spinners and just bring em in steady and slow

once they get their first one the rest will fall into place...

Welcome Aboard!!  Very much knowledge is learned here.  If you listen just right, you can hear the gears grinding in everyone's heads.   ;)
