Hey all my name is glenn I came across this forum a few days ago and I like what I saw friendly people giving great advice and so on.

So I thought i would register. I live in Georgia just outside of Augusta Im originally from south florida and was raised on fishing the everglades and Lake Okechobee and saltwater fishing and diving.

I have to say its alot tougher fishing fishing here in Ga then it is down south sometimes i swear it seem like the fish couldnt wait to get in the boat out in the glades the south Florida fisherman and women would back me up on this.

But dont get me wrong ive caught some nice bass in Clarks hill The biggest ive caught around here was about 4 Lbs. Last few months been tough with the drought the lake is 10' foot below full pool and no rain insight. but I hope that with joining this site maybe I can meet some of the locals and they can show me how its done:] Also thinking of joining a bass fishing club around here. just to get better @ the game. I own a 17 foot carolina skif with a 55 hp Johnson so I try diffrent places on the lake Im recently getting really back into fishing cant seem to get it out off my mind lately maybe its a good release Im married and have a 1 year old and a 2 week old "DADDY NEEDS A BREAK" well Ive took enough of you fine peoples time just wanted to introduce myself and hope to meet some of ya    -Glenn

Glenn, Welcome to the site. I live in Evans. I fish "The Hill" several times a week. Just not on the weekend. That's when I work. I have seen a couple of Carolina Skiffs on the lake lately. Maybe one of them was you. There are a few locals that frequent this site. None as much as me, but that's a given. It is good to have you here. You won't be dissapointed with this site.

I am going to move this to the General section so it will get more views and responses.

Hey Glenn2 welcome

Welcome aboard!

Howdy Glenn.  Your story sounds similar to mine in that I was born-n-raised in Miami, Florida.  My DW and I moved to middle GA in 1972.  Caught my first big Bass, an 8 lber out of the Tamiami canal way back in the mid-70s on a visit back to Miami.  Can't help with the Augusta area but keep on fishing as there are some nice Bass in GA too.
