Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried any of these? If so what's your favorite way to rig them and your favorite color?

this bait is quite hot right now in the south florida area. I personally love it I caught quite a few nice fish on this bait.  I rig it on a 5/0 ewg super line hook. Try getting some of the screwed up bullet heads too it will help with Durablity.   I have fished it over the top of eel grass and other grass. Its great bait you can fish it many ways. I like the Houdini, dirty sanches and June bug.

All the baits from reaction innovations are amazing, Get some flirts too great trick worm.

love this bait early season and for smallies.  I rig it weightless with a 4/0 offset hook. blue back

Do you swim it weightless?

Is this the bait that the FLW guy was using on Ocochobee?(sp?)  Looked pretty weedless with good action from the TV coverage.  I love bass fishing in HD....awesome.

I didn't have much luck with them, my thought though is not a big enough hook, for one, and second, I think they were particular about how they were rigged. I may not have rigged them straight enough either because the action was not good. Other possibility is the speed of my retrieve.

It seems that I get a much better action with hollow body paddle tail baits with my slower retrieve. We are still suffering with unstable weather patterns and pretty cold mornings and having better bites with slower presentations.

I am interested also because it is a good looking bait, and got 3/4 of a bag to use up.

I have been rigging them texas on a 5-0 superline EWG with a 3/16 bullet.

I like the green pumpkin and dirty sanchez and dip the tails in JJ's Chart. to get them to look like blue gill.  2 weeks ago warmer and I caught about 20 in 3 hours with them.  I caught 5 this weekend with them.  They seem to be a great spring bait.  We will see how they do the rest of the year.

Skinny Dippers have been a staple down here for as long as I can remember.

If they want wiggle I use the Skimny Dipper only in Houdini.

If they want thump I change to a Big EZ only in June Bug.

Both rigged with a 5/0 keel weighted Owner spring lock hook with centering pin.

Some times I'll use a 6/0 Gambler Duz-It under spin.
