Just wanted to see how many of you guys trim your jigs.

I do. I trim most skirts close to the bend edge of the hook. I almost always leave it uneven. I also trim the weed guard down close to the point of the hook.

I've seen all kinds of ways

Trim the guard down in lenght

trim some of the fibers out

spread the fibers in a V shape

Personally I just fish the jig.

I trim the skirts almost all of the time. I want it to be just about 1/4" longer than the hook. Usually I do not have to trim the weed guard.

I used to trim until I bought some of GMAN's jigs. I asked him how to

trim them "his way" and he said, "Just fish 'em the way they're made."

i always trim mine wouldnt fish them any other way

I ALWAYS trim the weed guards on my jigs.  But I have never trimmed the skirt on my jigs.

I just use them.  GMANs jigs are awesome.

Since i always buy about 4 in each size and color i trim 1/2 of them and leave 1/2 for when i want a bigger profile.
