From Frankfort, South Suburb of Chicago, never fished up near Rockford but willing to give it a try. If you want to get together sometime send me a PM.

From Rockford, but going to school in Chicago. I usually fish Olson lake in a small carry-in boat when I am home on some weekends. I have caught some nice fish out of there. Looking at your screen name I will tell you that chartreuse/firetiger rattletraps work very well all year in this little lake. I really don't fish any other public lakes because of limited time home. If I get lucky a friend of ours gets us in to some of the quarries and that can a great time right there. If my wife doesn't come with me, (which means its probably early morning fishing) I wouldn't mind the company sometime. I've learned so much on this board and if you want some nice gear, check out the flea market section. I have gotten some awesome deals! Take care,
