Newb from Spokane

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm Sarah, and I've been fishing since I was old enough to hold a pole.

I grew up in Sequim and my folks owned a charter boat, so I fished a lot for salmon/halibut/ling cod in the Strait.  My dad took me fishing for trout and kokanee sometimes in the lakes around Sequim and Port Angeles.  Over the last 25 years, I've gotten to catch pretty much everything but  a bass.

I moved to Spokane about five years ago, and apparently bass is the "big" fish over here... and they're pretty tasty, too.  I've got an excellent recipe for "Indian candy" smoked fish, and I'm interested to try it on a nice largemouth.  :-)

So, I'm looking for directions, advice, maybe a fishing buddy or two.   This seems like a pretty good community, and I look forward to talking with everybody!

Cheers,

Sarah

Welcome.

Throw the big bass back and eat the smaller ones please.

Welcome.

I want your receipe, please.

I promise I would only use it on the  14"-16"bass that get hooked wrong, and bleeding too bad to put back. (It's the 14"-16" ones that taste best anyway!)
