Welcome, Jamie!  Where in South Dakota are you located?  A few years back I drove across the state with my family.  We checked out the Badlands and spent some time in the Black Hills.  I think the terrain is beautiful and unique up there.  Am I mistaken, or is the smallmouth fishing supposed to be decent in the Missouri River Lakes created by the dams up there?  Seems like I remember reading or hearing about that.

I'm in Watertown, which is on the far East Central part of the state.  I only get West River once every 4-5 years.  I've heard there's some good SMB fishing in the dams, but have never fished them myself.  

Anyone else on here from around this area?
