I was wondering if anybody had any advice on which spinnerbaits they use for fishing bluffs and main lake points. Certain times of the year, ther bass will move out to about 25-30 ft. and the only thing they bite is a large spinnerbait. What are your suggestions. Only brand I have heard of is called Ledge buster.     -Thanks Adam

The 3/4 or 1 oz Ledgebuster Single Willow Blade would be a good choice.

I read some of the pros just add some clip on weight to a normal 1/2 oz spinnerbait.   Has anyone tried this yet?   Sounds like a decent approach if you are in a pinch or do want to waste time tying on a new lure.

Lard_Bass, yes I add weight. I use the rubber core sinkers, remove the rubber and them mash the lead on the wire attached to the head.

You can also wrap solder around the hook base to add extra weight.

I like Wareagle 1/2 & 3/4 oz.

That's exactly the tip I read.  Another suggestion was to add a splitshot on the same wire.  

I too use the rubber core sinkers to get spinnerbaits deep. I leave the rubber core in. It makes it easier to get the sinker centered so the bait runs true, and easier to remove.
