Erie, or St. Clair- don't know any guides though.

I think you have to consider Burt, Mullet, Leelanau, Lake Charlevoix, and even Grand Traverse Bay as some of the best.  I'm sure there are some more northern Michigan lakes I am missing, but you can't go wrong fishing for smallies in any of these.

Lake Michigan, Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin area.

Consistant for big fish, and I believe they pulled more than one 7lb+ fish this spring during the big tourney they have every year.

St. Clair or Erie.  Could go with Jon Bondy or Art Ferguson.

I'd say Erie is the top in the country. Close to NYC it has to be Candlewood. The size and quantity are extremely good, considering it's a zoo. I think Terry Baksay still guides here.

Norris lake or Dale Hollow in TN.

For consistent numbers AND size either Erie or St. Clair.   

For a guide look at Gerry Gostenick.  Excellent guide, pro fisherman,  One of the best guides I have used.

St. Clair is one of the best in the country.  As of guides there gostnick is good but very expensive.  Your best bet is to find someone to take you out.  I would be more then happy to.

Erie, St. Claire, Dale Hollow, Pickwick, and for one out west I would say Utah's Jordanelle. Have seen lots of 6 - 8 pounders come out of there.

I would not overlook Saginaw Bay in Michigan. Excellent fall fishing. We got two that broke 7lbs last fall and alot of 6lbers.

Saginaw Bay is a good one too, and don't overlook the Shiawasee River that forms the Saginaw with the Flint.

Totally agree, finally picked up a boat this summer and caught three four pounders this year in Lake St. Clair.

55, if you go with any regularity, you will soon find out that 3 four pounders happen almost every time you go out.
