do you have more succssess with the t-rig or whacky?

i t-rig on a gammy g-lock 3/0 worm hook.

3/0 or 4/0 offset shank worm hook.  For a bulkier bait I use an EWG hook..  I wacky rig on a 1/0 Tru-Turn hook.

Weigtless on 3/0 or 4/0 EWG or Round Bend Gammy hooks.

Wacky rigged with an Oring.  I like the Reaction Innovations Wacky Hook and Owner Mosquito Hook.

I also love to use a screw in weight and a straight shank 4/0 round bend Gammy.  They fall like tubes rigged this way.   ;D

I use a 3/0 hook but have found that a bleeding hook worked a lot better than a regular hook.

I use a 4/0 Owner Rigging Hook (weightless). Try it you'll like it. Good Luck

I fish 6" Senkos and prefer the Gamakatsu #5/0 round bend. The shank runs parallel to the worm and is more "weedless" than the EWG.

A texas rig with a 4/0 mustad offset worm hook has done well for me around weed beds.

I use a 2/0 Eagle Claw normally whn i use a wide gap hook they tear the worm up nd it wont stay on.

It is more about "hook set" and I used the Gamakatsu 3/0 with 5" senkos for quite a while. Now I use a 5/0 EWG with 5" senkos

Try it!...You will hook more fish.

Big EWG hooks with senkos, and even bigger with toads.

Daiichii Fat Gap ( red) 3/0 and 4/0 with the 4" and 5" respectively, with T-rig.

Daiichii Wacky Hook ( red ) 2/0 with O-ring

Not stupid, well just a little.....hehe

You hook it right in the middle of the worm and then to fish it....lift your pole every so often..

I highly recommend not using wide gap hooks for senkos.  I personally have had a very low hook-up rate.  Take one day I went out, I had 6 bass hit, and managed to hook up with four of those, and of those four, I caught one.

I have been fishing Senkos since 1997 or 98 with 4/0 & 5/0 EWG hooks. When I get a bite, I rarely miss a fish.

although i rarely miss fish with the ewg hooks i have an even better hook up % with straight shank hooks.

when i use an ewg hook i like the wide gap plus owner hooks.  i like a heavy hook  with senkos and think it gives them even more wiggle and shimmy.

This is interesting. The hook brand selection on this thread is between just 2 or 3 brands. I have some Owners as well as Gammy's.

I have a bunch of BPS 3/0 EWG hooks I've been using, and missing recently.

What is everyone's opinion on these BPS hooks?

Are the BPS hooks not near as good, even when brand new?

5/0 Gammy EWG for 5" senko

3/0 same for 4" senko

5/0 Gammy EWG Superline hook for 6"

Walmart sells the Kinami Flash. Same exact bait, in a different package.

... so where can i buy senko's.I would buy them online but sure don't want to pay for shipping lol.

Try * they ship US mail for cheap.  I like them.  I know its a knock off but its an option.

My PB was on their site. (Shameless, I know.  I had to, its my only hawg   :;) )

On topic.  I switched from a 3/0 to a 4/0 Heavy on the 5" stick.  I liked it. The wiggle was...more pronounced.  Maybe.  It could have been the beer or the heat.  Regardless, It works.  The 3/0 I save for flukes.  The 4/0 Heavy makes them fall wierd.  Wierd in a bad way.

I have used the Texposer hooks from Lunker City with great success, and have tried 5/0 Owner wide gap straight shanks with some success also, but the worm tends to slide down the hook.
