I left (skipped) my last class today and fished for a while, then AJ (hookingem) met me later to see if we couldn't get a nice one or two. We got three 5 pounders, so I'd say we did pretty good! I got my first dropshot fish as well. AJ is trying to turn me away from flipping and into finesse fishing...

Here's the first one, a chunky 5 that hit a 1/4 oz. spinnerbait.

Next I got another nice fiver on a swimjig, which was my first time trying that technique as well.

AJ hooked a good'un on his Northstar 5/8 oz. jig. These things are sweet!

Excuse the attire. I am a senior class officer at my high school and had to give a few speeches today. When Hayden told me he was killing em' I was in too much of a rush to change clothes! Those Northstar jigs are killer!

I hate being dressed up, but I hate knowing my buds at a pond killing em' while I'm in school even more. There was no time to change when I got home. I threw the gear in the car and headed to the pond. Glad I did that fish made everything worthwhile.
