After all this rain all the waters I usually fish are now flooded and look like chocolate milk to slightly stained(2ft visibility maybe). What should I be throwing and what colors IV caught a few seems like there holding to wood cover on the shoreline. I know Colorado bladed spinners are supposed to work. The two I caught the first was 2.5lbs on a Mr twister blk/ylw the second was 7lbs and on a redcraw colored spinner booyah top secret Colorado and willow blades. The waters still in the 40s and I'm off the bank in all but 1 spot I can borrow a canoe.

Cold, muddy water is about as tough of conditions as you can get. Generally in dirty water they will hold close to cover and in those water temps they aren't going to move far for a bait. Like you said a colorado bladed spinnerbait can be good in dirty water but I'd probably fish a dark colored, slow sinking jig tight to cover. Be prepared to fish slow and probably not get many bites.

Cold Muddy water is practically a stay home and watch tv situation.

Very tough fishing. We've had similar conditions here as well. Next week things suppose to settle down and we might get a few days without rain!

I agree with the above...fish close to cover or shoreline and use something that you swim slow, like a Chatterbait or variations there of. These put out a lot of vibration and swim very slowly. Good Luck!

Sounds like you’re on a pattern already

Lures that move a lot of water and make noise; Colorado bladed spinner baits, chatter baits, plastics with big tails, and jigs with rattles like the ole Lunker Lure® Triple Rattleback Jigs. I would select high contrasting colors like your blk/ylw, black red, fire tiger, or black chartreuse.

In cold and/or muddy water never underestimate the fish catching ability of Rat-L-Traps!

Blue is right on the money. Look for wood on the banks or a rock bank if you can. Something that will act as a heatsoke to hold bass. In muddy waters you dark colored lures in a larger size. That will give the fish a good contrast to home in on the lure. Good luck!!

That's what I thought was dark colored lures I just don't have many I got some black and blue jigs a few dark brown and black smithwicks all my chatter baits are white or chart. I think I got a red and purple skirt for one. I was throwing all big bulky lures at first then I downsized and got bites that's what threw me off last year was a red rattle trap year till well all year lol. I'm used to fishing crystal clear waters seeing fish 30ft down ignoring me but I don't mind the mud now and then

Use a chaterbait..black or white...vary the weight depending on the depth you are fishing. Slow roll it like you would a spinnerbait along the bottom. Good luck!!

About the same conditions here in SE Ohio. We've had rain for a week and a half now. Water is muddy and 52* to 54*. Been catchin them on chart/blck back squarebills and chart/white spinnerbaits.
