Hello, got a couple of the 1/4 oz Rebel Pop -R's and put in my bait tank to see how they look, they sit in the water at a 45* angle with the bottom of the mouth at the surface, with eyes just at or below surface. My 1/8oz Pop-r's rear sits much higher in the water about half the angle. Is this how they are suppose to sit ? Should the tail end be up more ?

The 1/4 oz Pop-R sits perfectly, per design. I'm not sure what's going on with the 1/8 oz one. Is there a split ring on the 1/8 oz one? I'm assuming you put both in your tank as is, staright from the package, no line or anything?

All Pop-R’s should sit tail down but only slightly

Iv never paid that much attention to mine but I know the dressed tail hook sits lower all I know is its a bass catching machine

Kris...you have got to keep trying. Once you catch 'em on it, you can't put it down! try different retrieves...quick with very short stops, 1-2-stop, the old bloop and let the rings disappear. if the bass are on topwaters, something's gotta work.

Pop-r's are the trick worm of top waters. If they are willing to hit topwater, they will hit a pop-r. Here is a retreive that I found quite good. Cast out and let the rings dissapear, then just twitch just enough to get smaller rings and maybe a little "bloop". but the real key is to not jerk it hard at all.

I got up at 5:30 this morning and went fishing.I started fishing my pop r in the baby bass color and I caught my first bass on it.I caught a 4 lb 2 oz bass as my first pop r bass lol.I caught total of two on the pop r one on a fluke and 3 on a wacky rigged ocho.Ocho's for some reason are hard to stay on my wacky gammy hook for some reason.Threw one off in the pond lol.The 4 pounder was my biggest fish and he inhaled it.The other bass I caught on it I caught him in the stomach.I guess he was trying to kill it.

You might want to try a Wacky tool, which basically puts a rubber ring around your bait. It holds the bait tightly and keeps it from getting torn apart.

way to go Kris. hope you enjoy the pop-r. next, you will have to use it during times when "the book" says it shouldn't work. tough to do but you might learn some odd conditions in your area that work. I can't tell you how many midday StClair SM and LM I catch on hot summer blue sky days.
