Let me clarify...

Featured Replies

okay, this must have got moved to other fish species before because i didnt say i was fishing for bass with crappie patterned cranks...here it goes again...

We're headed down to Kentucky Lake Sunday, so we need some nice crappie patterns on crankbaits to match the hatch, FOR BASS. I'll be going to BPS Thursday for a few things and wanted to get some nice cranks, FOR BASS. Anyone know of a brand the has a good crappie pattern that dives to around 10ft? One that i could get at BPS also. Thanks.

"Baby Bass" is the closest you will come and just happens to be

my favorite color pattern for all hard baits! However, I have had

some luck on Kentucky Lake throwing a DD22 in "Texas Shad".

Try a Norman's Deep Little N (10-12') in the suicide(17) pattern.

Also Spro's Little John MD (9') in the cellmate pattern. (kinda'

pricey)

BPS carries both online, I don't know about the store.

GOOD LUCK ! :)

I think if you want to match the hatch, you'll be better off with shad pattern baits.  Bobby Lane used a swimbait and 10" worm to win the Elite Tournament there recently. KVD was second throwing cranks in Sexy Shad. Hope that helps.
