I'll stick with the outdated stuff, serves me well. I never hear any noise, knots hold , guides are in perfect shape, never use anything heavier than 20# original PP, line handles fish easily up to 50#, bigger too. Can't see a reason to spend double the money to be in the same place.

Hmmmnn..Both are 8 strands and claim they are rounded and smooth but the other one is $5 more. I think i have to wait till someone have used both and concludes that PP Slick is worth the extra $5, cause i'm pretty much satisfied with the smoothness of 832.

I'm satsified with smoothness of Sufix 832 to. Just not the diameter to strength ratio. 832 is bigger than the old Sufix Performance Braid. To me, (on a BC) the old PP's 12-50 was the perfect diameter to strength ratio for almost all flipping/pitching apps, t-rigs c-rigs, and jigs. The only time I would deviate from it would be if I were flippin into the really heavy salad.

Thinking about giving Toray Finesse Braid 55# a try until Super Slick becomes available. I'm using 832 now, but I got a new flippin reel so it's time to try something new...d*#n bait monkey has me in a Kimura hold lately.

I haven't noticed if it floats or not but it is the only braid I've used so far that has memory

Surface tension is enough to keep 832 floating... after the surface tension is broken 832 will slo.o.o.w..w..l...y sink. Similar diameter fluoro sank for me 2 - 3 times faster. I have liked fishing thin 832 (10lb & 20lb) with a fluoro leader.

It may sink a little faster JF. Nothing to write home about. I do like the line though.

edit- it shows up alot more if you're fishing a fluoro leader. Say you were to throw PP w/fc leader and 832 w/fc leader then you would see it alot more.

832 sinks very slowly.can still be used with topwaters.i love the line the more i use it.

Me too. There's a break-in that happens after three or four trips and you're like...dang I really like this line now, but it's not over. It just seems to get better and better the more you fish it. I like the 40# but I love the 10# on spinning gear. It's alot stronger than it's rated.

Suffix I am sure has a larger market share than Samurai so it makes sense, plus bang for buck its better than Samurai, I like how soft and quiet the Samurai is though, so far so good with my 832 too.

832 s the most sensitive braid i've used.since it sinks you get a more direct line to your bait.i didn't think you could make braid more sensitive but i was wrong.i think the gore fiber also helps it.

Grey Wolf, Most (if not all) of the major players in the braid game have had 8 carrier lines out for several years now... and the coating is a step behind several of their competitors as well... not to mention the price isn't better than what's out there right now either. Just not anything in that offering that I'm not already fishing with Sufix 832, NanoFil and Spider Wire Ultra-Cast. If your looking for this new PP to be bringing something new to the market... I don't think so. Your mileage may vary.

Try a spool of the new NanoFil. I was impressed by how many slack line bites I could feel.

I'm not a big fan of braid except for cat fishing but that line looks great, I didn't like how the spectra handled. Too bad it's expensive.

Personally, the braid that is most impressive to me is Kanzen. It's a higher density with far less slack line belly. It does sink faster than other braids, I would assume it's due to the finish. It's smoother than any other braid I've felt to this point. Thus far, I'm impressed with it. I hate superlines on the whole, I'd rather fish heavy fluoro for flipping and pitching the junk. I break off fewer fish than my counterparts using 25lb Abrazx to their 50lb braid. I'm satisfied with the results of that run, but the advantage of braid's casting behaviour excels in some situations. Kanzen will be the answer for me.

Hmmmn Kanzen.. interesting although the diameter is much thicker compared to Sufix and PP. Kanzen has 20# rating with 10# dia. mono equivalent compared to Sufix and PP w/ only #6 dia mono equivalent for the same 20# rating. I use braid to get the max line capacity out of a small reel size.

Gotta ask a stupid question but who makes kanzen? I've never heard of it.
