Mister Twister Grubs?

Featured Replies

I just got a pretty cheap 20 pack of Mister Twister 3" Meeny Tail grubs. I had heard they are good for all kinds of fish, including panfish (probably no bluegills since these are the 3"), bass, and more. Is it true? How do you fish them (if you use them)?

Good durable little bait. I swim mine on a 1/32 to 1/8 oz. jighead

X2 killer on smallmouth all the time and its my panic bait for when the bite gets tough and they ignore everything else

Edit: also great swim jig trailers and spinner trailers

Yep, a standard ball head. use more weight for a faster retrieve, or to run deeper. Cast out, count down, and slowly reel in.

Caught my first bass on a 3" glow in the dark Mister Twister and 1/8 oz jighead.

No action.

I have a new bag I just bought to try with small swim jigs. These

are black. If you want them for free, send me your address in a PM.

LOL, they are the originals! An entire generation of smallmouth fisherman grew up catching smallies with these. Later, it was the Kalins grubs, after that, the Gitzit tubes.

Don't bet on that, I've caught some nice bluegills, perch and crappie on 3" chartreuse Mr Twister grubs.

Wrong, I've caught bluegill on 3" grubs and even a yum dancin' eel.

No action.

Wait for the Rage tail grubs!!!

I used Mister Twister Grubs when I was a kid and caught a lot of bass and pike on them. Put it on a ball jig head, cast it out and retrieve.

The problem is that my pond has heavy weeds, so jigs dont do too well unless theyre weedless, and i dont have any weedless jigs

Texas rig it then either traditional trig or use the ball jig thread it ya know like 3/8ths an inch down pop the point turn the grub and texpose and wala weedless. That or get a round shakey head they work the same

Rig it on a Bitsy jig with brush guard. I can't visualize rigging a 3" grub Texas rig.

Great smallmouth and pickerel lure especially in yellow!
