Premier Crankbait Rods?

Featured Replies

Any of you all own any of the premier crankin rods? How are they? Thinking of getting a 6'6" Med for shallow square bills, and an occasional rattletrap.

I have two of the Premier cranking rods, I bought them during a store closeout for 45 each. These rods have actually suprised me a little in how well they fish, I like the cork handles and the build quality of the rod is as good or better than many others in its price range. If you can get one at a good price, I say go for it.

Great rods for the money. One of the best value priced crankbait specific rods out there. The Glass rod is a joy to cast and fish.

I believe the St Croix Premier crankbait rod is SC11 graphite blank and not a glass blank. The Mojo crankbait rods are a S glass blank. I'm not sure how the Mojo glass rods preform, but a friend of mine uses a Premier in a heavy power with the moderate action graphite blank and loves it for deep cranks.

PGC66MMF and PGC70MMF are both glass rods. There are also moderate taper graphite cranking rods, which are denoted with a "PC" prefix, such as PC70MHM.
