Getting Paint Out of the Eye of the Hook

Featured Replies

I told you once, I'll tell you one last time: "EYE POPPER"

Cost about 2 bucks, you'd be a fool to play with a hook-point.

This works great. Easy and safe.

Stop buying those garbage jigs and you won't have a problem.

WHAT?

These are the best jigs on the market!!!

Are you for cereal? :-?

Yup.

Good quality hook, great colors, and durable paint coat on the jig head.

The only bad thing about the paint is that they paint over the eye.

 Dude....lol.......

Trust me.  Once you go Booyah you never go back.

Tell Chuck Norris the jig eye called him a girl.

I had this problem with a shakyhead last weekend. I just took another hook and poked it through a couple of times. I also tie a palomar and I just run the line through once and bring it back through. Works better than doubling the line before threading it through the eye IMO.

Many of the jigs I buy have a clean eye........but for painted ones hook or pen knife does the job.

X2 on the knife. Use the point, place it with the point in the center of the hook eye, press and twist. Hope this helps ya!!

Speak for yourself!  I for one found this discussion poignant and quite riveting.  Especially RoLo getting slightly huffy on the eye gouger thingy.  Booyah!
