Think you will enjoy it. A bit noisy. Casts light lures pretty well. Small. Been told it is easy to set up. Wouldn't know. Set my breaks at 2, spool tension high enough to remove side-to-side play and use thumb for added control although not much is needed.

And BPS still has their free shipping for over $75 going on too.

All you folks that were looking for a deal on 50Es should be all over this...

If I didn't already have a 50E NIB, I'd be ordering one myself.

I just checked this morning to see if the Curado 50E was on sale at BPS and it wasn't. Literally just about 3 hours ago I bought a Carbonlight and mounted it on a Veritas Micro rod. SOB!!! Just my luck

Except everyone is looking to break that $100 barrier. It is still a very good deal at $120. Think I would buy something else at the $200 price point though.

Within 15 min. after me seeing this post I was out the door and on my way to the local BPS to exchange my reel. They did it no questions asked and I now have a Curado 50E instead of the Carbonlight :respect-059:

I'm obviously not happy and to top it off they added the shipping charges back onto my bill since removing the reel dropped the total below $75. Heads are going to roll tmw for that type of customer service.

That's what happened to me. I had also ordered 2 packs of VMC spinshot hooks. Without the reel, shipping was added. I had to call to cancel the order. luckily the lady understood why I didn't want to pay $5.50 shipping on $7.50 worth of hooks. My tourney partner went through the same...then had to make sure the gift cards and rewards points he used were recouped.

Of course the reel I have been waiting on a good sale for and I miss it...Just my luck

Thanks for posting this. I had just got the hubby a 51E for Christmas for about the same price ($115 less the Black Friday deal from T). I was quietly jealous.

Thanks to this thread and a 1.5 hour drive to BPS I have my 50E to compliment my family of 200Es. As stated it was honored at the store even though it rang up for $145.

Now I'm a tad upset I didn't get the last one they had left.
