Battery Chargers

Featured Replies

I'm in need of a new 3 bank charger. What charger are you guys running? The one I had was a dual pro 3 bank.

I'm looking for another 3 bank charger.

I'm running a dual pro 3 bank 15 amp.

That is the one I'm looking at to replace it with. How do you like it? Any issues at all?

I've got two Optima batteries I use for trolling.

Way2slow, thats how old mine was too. It finally crashed. 2 of the banks still work so I might use it for a standard charger until they crash.

Minn Kota 460D. A little bulky, but very effective. I like the three stage digital charging system. Only had it for one season, so I can't speak for it's durability.

I had a Minn Kota 3 bank 10 amp for 5 years on my last boat & it was working fine when I sold the rig. I have a Minn Kota 4 bank 15 amp charger for 3 1/2 years now & it's working fine. The only time my charger is not plugged in is if I am on the water.

Mike I also am running Optimas. My charger does fine on them and I have been impressed with the batteries so far.

BTW: Deal directly with Dual Pro. They will probably give you a better deal than anyone else out there. When one of my banks went bad on an 8 year old charger, they beat the next best price by close to $100.

They may also have a new version for the AGMs.

Thanks All. I'll call them and see what they have to say. If they are willing to wheel and deal I'll go that route.

On my old boat I had a Minn Kota MK3 I think it was. Nice charger and worked great.

Well, I called up Dual Pro today. I told them what had happened and gave them the serial number off of my old charger. Low and behold they shoot you a good deal on a new charger if you are a previous owner. I dont even have to send my old bad one back.

That is the way I have always found them to be. That is why I keep doing business with them.

I have a mk460 d

it broke after a year, so i sent it in even though i didnt have the receipt, and no questions asked they sent me a new one, best of all it was here in less than a week from when i sent mine off. hopefully this time the charger will last longer, it doesnt matter what brand you buy there is bound to be some lemons here and there, the way the company treats you when you get a lemon determines who i will buy from.
