Spinnerbait Trailers

When do you guys add a plastic trailer to your spinnerbaits? Do they work better than a plain spinnerbait or just under certain conditions. What are your favorite trailers?

I always use a 2" or 3" grub in a contrasting color to the spinnerbait. I do this with in-line spinners too.

For me, I only use plastic trailers in stained to muddy water conditions. I do this to add a little extra bulk to the bait. I tend to use a 3-4" grub to mine when I need.

I use them on all my spinnerbaits and buzzbaits except the ones that have the Perfect Skirt, which has some of the skirt material hanging back to act as a trailer. I use BPS twin tail Cajun Trailers exclusively.

I use * 4" spinnerbait trailers in white or pearl.  Will dye the tip or whatnot with JJ's as needed.

I use Kinami 3" or 4" single tail grubs in matching colors and sometime will use a contrasting color.

Later, :(

I always use a trailer. My favorites are Uncle Josh jumbo pork frogs, zoom trailers, and modified ribbit frog legs.

i dont normally use trailers,

but on the occasion that i do...... i just use the end piece from one of my beat up worms and such.... works just fine, and puts good use to an otherwise useless bait.

I use the Mepps/MrTwister split double tail grubs for trailers on all my spinnerbaits.

I've started adding a white split tail worm to my spinners after viewing Glenn's video and I believe it has significantly improved the number of strikes I'm getting.  I also regularly feel bites to the trailer without a sincere strike.  I think this may be perch going after the trailer.

Those are some of my very favorite spinnerbait and jig trailers.

3" slider grub. Don't know if it really matters, but I've just always used these.
