Motoroil color

Featured Replies

What is the best type of water for this color? Clear, semi staind, staind, or murky? Thanks in advance

Yellow, as in flush them down the toilet.

Just kidding, it is a good all around color but I like it most in slightly stained water.

I have had good luck in lightly stained lakes with grass with motoroil.

Definitely an oldie but goodie...

That is my mom's favorite color and one of my favorites.

I like it best in slightly stained water like everybody else.

Just use a Red Shad and get it overwith. ;D ;D I have had luck with motor oil finesse worms for smallmouth in gin clear streams in Tenn. I dont use it much down here.

All bait companies used to have their own version of this color.  Always liked it myself and then for some reason it fell out of favor. Here in the Mid-South and Delta area stained is about the best you get, from there to "too thick to drink and too thin to plow" ;)...

I use Motor Oil Trick Worms with Chartreuse tail in stained water during the colder months..........................DEADLY!!

Clear to slightly stained. Good imitation of crayfish and darker forage like sunfish, bullheads act.

Anything, when I see a straight motor oil worm I buy it if that says anything.

That color is an old favorite for clear ponds back when I first started fish some 15 years ago. They are great for clear to slightly stained but begin to lose effectiveness as it gets darker. If the water is black swamp what, look out. Its killer. but I haven't had as much luck in brown muddy water as I have with darker colors. Man I have to go buy a pack of those worms now

I have many packs of motor oil ZOOM U-TAIL WORMS and have done really well in stained water.I haven't fished them in clear water.

Straight colored motor oil used to be a favorite of mine, its hard to find them now w/o the colored flakes. If I do, I'd probaly give them another try.

I fish motor oil powerworms in any water that is wet.

Is there a "Dry water"...?   ;)

By far my go to worm is a "Berkley Sqwormer" 7-inch in Motor Oil ;) Deadly in any condition I have found.

By the way if anyone has or knows where to get "Sqwormers" pick them up. Getting hard to find in any color.
