Just wondering how everyone stores their rods. I've been leaving mine in the boat but have my concerns that long term stress on the blank with any flex may make them prone to fatigue and failure. I have an upright rod rack but haven't been bothered to remove them each time we go out and put them back on it.

I live in Philly... they come in the house with me.

I built a rack on the ceiling of my garage. Used some scrap wood to make 2 long hangers about 5 feet apart and just hang them up when I'm done. I usually only carry 4 rods so it's not too much for me to move them. Also, my rod storage on my boat leaks water so it's not an option to leave them in since I don't always cover the boat.

Mine are kept in the house in a stand up rack..

I always leave mine in the boat unless I go with someone else. I've got rods buried in the bottom of the rod locker that haven't seen daylight in a couple of years.

The only thing on my side is the fact that the people in my neighborhood don't understand the value of good fishing gear.

haha, i keep mine inside on a rod rack made, i have a spinning rod rack outside if i have done rigged up ready for next day, if they are in the car with me it reel covers and rods sock type things 100% of the time

In the boat except for winter storage.

I bring mine inside and store them in an upright rod rack.

I use Rod Tamer's. They make a gunwall mount that has and eyelet in the gunwall that lets them drop out of site, except for the hook and a small loop that fastens down on the deck. They use a solid round rubber strap that does not loose elastisity. Over time, if left laying in the sun, they do dry rot over the years but I have a 500' roll so that will last me a couple of lifetimes.

I find my storage compartments on my tracker to hold a lot of moisture and have notices corrosion on some reels and gear. Not sure why that happens so I usually take them out.
