So i went on to the mechanic thinking nothing was wrong when he spun my prop and it wobbled! He bent my prop shaft!!! Looks like it's going to be a expensive fix. I've called my insurance and his right away! Explained what happened. No cops were called because at the time it looked like there was no damage. He didn't see any on his until a second look and I didn't see any at the time to mine. I now see red paint on my motor from his red mustang. Man I'm ticked his insurance better not try to screw me around! .

Also, both parties end up paying regardless of who's fault by raised rates..You may have srewed yourself by not reporting the accident when it happened. Your insurance company might get stuck paying for your damage and you may have to foot the bill for the deductible also.
Always call the cops, not only is it suppose to reported since it was a public road, you also have to cover your butt if the guy wants to sue you a year down the road for whiplash or whatever

What counts is where the impacts are on both vehicles, the rest is "he says - she says"

Under normal conditions police may not even respond if no one is hurt and the damage appears to be minimal. If someone hits you from behind, it's almost always their fault but the final verdict will be rendered by the insurance appraiser, so do nothing to the boat or engine until the damage has been inspected. If it's the other driver's fault, deductable waived without a blackmark on your record, your fault you pay. In some no fault states your insurance company covers your claim regardless of fault, in other no fault states the guilty parties insurance pay both claims.Around here the police will ask if anyone is hurt, are the cars are drivable, have you exchanged info. If your answers are no, yes, yes,, they wont respond in a timely manor. At one point I was told "you have what I need - move on"

That is why I have put all types of decals on the boat to grab their attention. However, with everyone using cell phones and not paying attention the risk is always there.
Sorry to hear about your accident. Please keep us posted on how the two insurance carriers handle the situation.
Best of luck to you to have the other driver's insurance company pay for the repairs 100%.
