I throw a 3 inch Berkeley Dropshot worm in gray. Otherwise I throw a purple kut tail worm.

I like the SK 3x worms, they catch fish as good as anything I have ever used, plus they last forever. I don't care how durable baits are, as long as they catch fish, but these are the best of both worlds, and around here you could catch a 5lb SM, a 5lb LM, or 3000 rockbass in any given area. It's nice to not lose $500 worth of baits a trip to rockbass.

I don't have much color preferance, greenpumpkin works, so thats what I use.
I am not afraid to suck.

  • Favorite Lake or River:The Yampa River, Colorado's best smallmouth fishery. Lots of 2 - 4 pound, obese bronze bombers in this river. Connected Lakes is my favorite lake, just a group of small gravel pits, no bigger than 100 acres. No monsters, but lots of 2 - 5 pound largemouths and the odd 6 - 7.

I like the 4.5" roboworm fat straight tail worm in baby bass. I don't drop shot much, but that's one of my favorite split shot worms.

4.5" roboworm in morning dawn, killer. 6" also works well. Also, while not traditional "worms", the keitech swing impact and jackal cross tail shad are the best baits out there for dropshotting. Pricey however!

4" Rage Tail Grub in pearl white. Deadly. I also like a 7" Thumper cut in half, in any of the green colors.

Where I fish,we have to deal with the aggressive Green Sunfish. They hit a dropshot so hard, and are gone before you can even fathom what just happened. Sometimes you stick a good solid one and its worth the fight they have in them.

That's my choice for a worm but since I got ahold of some 4 inch Sharks in Ed's candy craw, that's my go to bait.
I was looking in the garage the other day and trying to move through all my wife's stuff and you'll never guess what I found ? My boat.
