All this rain has caused Lake Waco to rise 11 feet above normal!!! Thats what they are expecting anyway. Was 7 feet above yesterday. All ramps are closed and the ACOE said for at least a month! What the heck am I supposed to do now? I mean I can drive to another lake but I can't do it often. Probably can't even get to my buddies ponds because I have to drive through a pasture that is surely flooded and I don't have 4x4. Ok rant over!!

Do you know how high Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir is? I've only been there once, but I had a pretty decent day. It might be worth checking out.
If you think you deserve something, you probably don't deserve anything.

That really sux, but I'll tell what I can do to help you out.
Tell me if you'd rather me fish in the morning or afternoon, what presentation and how many bass you would like for me to catch. I will head out and do my best to video my outing so that way you can sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
I realize it's not same as being out there in person, but I feel as though it's the least I could do to help a brotha out.

You could always come to IL and catch 13" bass.
Is "basstiality" the same as sleeping with the fishes?

Morning....no coffee either.....ultra light tackle....nothing over 4lb test. Presentation would have to be flipping grass with a rage craw. 10 keeper sized fish with at least one over 7lbs would do nicely.

I thought you guys were in some serious drought conditions last year? Least the water levels are back up again now right?
The magic lure in your tackle box is the lure you have the most confidence in.

Man, during the spawn down there too, that really sucks! Maybe take up lure making and build yourself some jigs for when the water comes back down?

We were, and I know some still need more rain, I guess I am being selfish. It will be nice to fish a full lake for the remainder of the year. This will be the second year in a row I am unable to fish the spawn. Last year it was too windy.

Is the lake closed completely, or just the launches, or for motorboat traffic? Sometimes they will shut one down to motorboats because of the wakes, but it is still OK to use a kayak or canoe. Many years ago, they closed a D'Arbonne Lake to motorboat traffic and closed the launches due to flooding, but you could still fish from a boat under paddle-power legally. I'll never forget catching fish out of my neighbor's tomato patch.
I married a moonshiner's daughter and love her still...

Thats not any good. I think this might happen alot this year around the country.

I hope this makes ya feel better. Last year Bull Shoals maxed out approx 30-35ft high When I was there it was about 27 ft high.

I have been told more than once that I can only launch h from the ramps....even with my 8' pelican. All the parks are closed anyway so I wouldn't even be able to get close.

Went and saw the movie "Act of Valor" a couple of weeks ago, Navy Seals had choppers drop their boats close to the place they were going to assault. Rent a chopper, have them drop you and your boat in the lake - you'll be out a few bucks, but you'll have the lake to yourself!
I'd rather be fishing
