Heckler & Koch
Some of the first guns I shot were H&K growing up a USP 40 and HK93. Just got off gunbroker a USP Expert 45. One of my dream guns since I’ve grown into a gun nut in a sense. I want a Mark 23 also but $$$$$$ and they are big for a pistol. This will be my duty gun for work since we have to supply our own at Loomis. Bit of a pricy duty gun but work does a loan so they covered $800 of the $1150 it cost me on broker. Going from an Sig 320 as my current duty pistol to this USP. Both are 45s and I’m current winning bid on a second USP45 this second one is the regular USP not an expert, elite, tactical or compact. Anyone else got some HKs?

2025 deer hunt
Finally got one this morning. Been trying to get one with my pistol and got it done this morning. 21.5 yards broad side with my sig p320 full size 45acp. Perfect behind the shoulder she went 53 yards and piled up. When gutting her I hit lungs and top of her heart.

things auto manufacturers should stop making
I hate the auto shutdown and start up on my work truck. Mines to new to turn it off with a push of a button like our older trucks. The mechanics have to do it with the scan tool but once you turn the vehicle off and back on it re activates and has to be turned off with the scanner again. most the time it turns off on me I just lift foot off the brake a hair and it starts up again. It’s funny to see some people’s reactions when I do it and they are hurrying across the street infront of the truck right when it starts again. I hate also my work truck is constantly yelling at me to have both hands on the wheel. That and our trucks have a AI camera system it’s not in regular cars but our work trucks have them. Do over 2 mph the speed limit and it will tell you every time you pass a limit sign “please slow down” I’ll be doing 57 in a 55 and I’ll hear “please slow down”. Some one will cut me off on the highway and it will ding and then “maintain safe following distance”. The new programming they did on the system 2 weeks ago is “distracted driving” it’s supposed to go off when we use our phones while driving which is an immediate firing they say. I had it go off 74 times I got dinged for it in one day because I would be parked at a stop doing paperwork or typing in on the pda for the stop and it would say “distracted driving”. Management sent me a video of it today saying it to me and I told it to F off and gave it the bird because I was re mounting my body camera that I took off so I could use the bathroom. my personal truck doesn’t have any new fancy annoying things other than the tpms sensors my right front one just went bad but it’s original one that came with the truck and it’s a 2017.

2025 deer hunt
Sat this morning and this afternoon had deer both sits. This morning had a big doe come in to 10 yards was head on the entire time no shot. Something spooked her she turned and bounded into the thicket stopped and walked away never offering a shot. this afternoon had another doe little smaller at 30 yards broad side naked eye at first I thought button buck especially since it was alone and on small side. Looked at its head good with the scope on the cross bow. Realized it wasn’t a button buck decided to let one fly and moved from looking at its head to its vitals and it turned and ran away like the one did this morning. 80% chance frozen mix tomorrow but I’m still gonna go out it will be a miserable sit but hopefully they will be moving with the weather.

2025 deer hunt
Got out for first time this season Sunday had two small bucks come in let em both walk. The one was borderline shooter but we’re trying to let em grow it’s just tough when the next property over is Amish and they blast everything that moves.

2025 deer hunt
yeah after I did that my ex father-in-law made the comment how both my boys are really good shots and must get it from me haha. My youngest boy got a bow also and he’s never shot before and was stacking groups tight. Plan was to give oldest my Hoyt and then his to his little brother but jacks left handed so they had to get him a whole new set up. He writes as a righty but throws football left shoots left does everything but write lefty

2025 deer hunt
I’ve been kinda turned off from deer season the last 10 years. Been going but not a lot maybe spent 8hrs in the stand all season only gun season I stopped bow hunting after I got my big 8 12 years ago. my daughter loves venison now her friends dad made her some and then sent her home with some since I haven’t shot a deer in years. NY just legalized crossbows for use during all of archery now just the last week of it. So I picked up a killer instinct rapid 420. Spent the weekend getting it dialed in. I used to be against crossbows but now that I’m older not that I’m even old just older I now have a crossbow and plan on using it early during bow season. I gave my oldest boy my old Hoyt spider 30 this season I bought it 6 years ago and never shot it or set it up. Gave everything to him he spent his own money and got it set up but I owe him some arrows. He asked me if I wanted to shoot it I said sure let’s see if I still got it and then robin hooded it. Then chuckled said that’s why you aim for different points each shot and that I would pitch in to get him new arrows. 35 yard Robin Hood shot. Wasn’t expecting to do that since I haven’t shot a bow in over 10 years.

Mowing: How it started & how it's going...
The house I bought back in 2020 has a 1.5 acre yard. Thought it was great when we looked at and got the house now I wish the yard wasn’t so big we don’t use it for anything but to keep me busy when I have free time…… when we first moved in we had a old rider so it wasn’t to bad then the kids wanted to mow so figured sure why not. Ruined the mower kept breaking belts and hitting stuff. Ended up scraping the rider second year here soon as we needed it. Been pushing mowing 1.5 acres since till this past Father’s Day I treated myself to a craftsman t2200k rider with bagger. No one’s allowed to mow but me with it for now anyways. this thread reminds me also I need to mow today before the kids football games. What used to be a 4-5 hr job with the push mower is now a 45min- hour with the rider depending if I do the front and back or just one

Work stress....
I work in a job that comes with a lot of stress I suppose. Get trusted to drive around with millions in cash and deliver it to customers and fill ATMs. Get stress of being robbed or cross loading ATMs that are multi denomination. Besides that stuff you also get bad management now since all the OG managers are gone. Company started going down hill from the top corporate level and they all left. We have all “new” managers who are from our competitors that are failing and losing customers to our company and the new management is making us like our competitors which is upsetting customers. Then you have today’s workforce that is extremely lazy and those of us that have good work ethic get punished to pick up their slack. Friday there was a case a few of us were complaining about it that we have one co worker who refuses to come in early or stay to complete his route and it’s been that was for going on 2 years. They cater to him and take stops off his run and give it to a select few of us that will get it done. This guy had a pretty localized route and they gave me 4 of his stops that was out of my area just to lighten him up along with a few other guys. We have a run that covers southerntier and into Pennsylvania hours away from this one guys route and he got stops off him to make it easier. They weren’t time frame sensitive stops so he did them on his way back to Rochester. I'm pretty relaxed about it the whole job I have zero worries or cares if some one tries to rob me. Luckily no one’s tried I get asked it by random people weekly “have you ever had to use your gun”. Had people run their mouths about it and make empty threats but nothings came from it. Idk if it’s because it doesn’t phase me and I usually put one hand on my gun when they do or what. Same with co workers not pulling their weight. I might complain a little but management knows they can put it on me and my work bestie with minimal push back and we get it done. I mind and don’t mind at same time. Others don’t want the hours I’ll gladly take them so far for 2025 I’m pulling 60-65hrs a week I’ve got no problem coming in early to get everything done that needs to be.

Beyond Bass Fishing..... What Defines You.....????
Fishing isn’t as big for me as it was in the past and everyone knew me for it. this past year I’ve gotten back into playing paintball. Not into the tournament scene like used to be but go to a “local”(1.5hrs away) field and do open play and practices with the pro team. this time of year everyone knows me for coyote hunting though. Once end of march when season ends and warmer weather I’ll be back to the guy who fishes and plays paintball every weekend.

Clayton, Georgia fishing
How’s the fishing in the area of Clayton Georgia? Planning on going there to visit and possibly move to one day. Nothing particular drawing me to that area other than the name coincidence haha. I just think he cool to live in Clayton Georgia when my name is Clayton George. since fishing is a big part of my life and who I am I need to be able to without long drives.
