Best Fall Baits
Jigs, Spinnerbaits and small crankbaits Jigs - In early fall I will be fishing big jigs with lots of action. I'm looking for fish as they are making their fall migration shallow and towards the back of the creek arms and pockets. Once I've determined that the fish have moved shallow I will switch to either a Spinnerbait or a small crankbait. And cover water untill I find a concentration of fish. Then I will slow way down and go back to the jig for the big bite. If they aren't on the jig or we've had a cold front move through in the past day or so I will go all the way to the back of the creeks and look for the muddy water. Then you will see me chunking a big spinnerbait with a twin tail trailer and hitting every piece of cover that I can. Most of the time if my trolling motor isn't kicking up mud I'm fishing to deep.

What Knot Do You Use For Tying On A Flouro Leader?
What amazed me about this knot when I first started using it is that I couldn't hear it going through the guides on the cast. That means no friction and longer casts.

That's great.

Police, Fbi, Homeland Security Raid Ihop Locations
Don't get me started on that Bull Crap. It's ok if you import the wood if it's already been made into a neck for the guitar but it's against the law to import it in block form so it can be Made in America.

Garneau Baits
I was thinking the same thing and I bet they aren't as selective as we are when choosing one to wrap on a fly body.

Handgun Hunting
When I turned 12 my dad bought 40 acres that he used to keep me out of trouble. The only problem was they clear cut it before he signed the paperwork. So after a few years it was so thick that I couldn't hunt most of it. So one day I grabbed his Ruger Super Redhawk and went and sat right off of a major trail in the thick stuff. I shot a doe at 5 yards and have been hooked on getting close ever since. I love hunting with a hand gun. I've shot dozens of deer with one and it's always exciting. A few words of advise. Use an adjustable shooting stick. (If you don't you will wish you did) Carry the gun in a under the arm holster (make sure the gun slides quietly out of it before you even buy it. I found that a leather one works better) Practice shooting with each hand in front and behind you. (I love a handgun because you don't have to turn all the way around to get a good shot off.)

Baitcasting Reel Wont Spin The Spool
When I store my reels for any length of time I loosen the drag all the way and I always forget to tighten back untill I try to fish with it. Then I have a "Duh moment" and move on.

Taking 7 Cub Scouts Fishing On Sunday
Oh and one more thing. Don't spend to much time talking. Put the rods in their hand and go fishing. They don't care what you have to say. They are there to fish.

Taking 7 Cub Scouts Fishing On Sunday
I've been involved with Boys Scouts and Cub Scouts for 12 years as an Adult. I take them fishing all the time. I always use bobbers, splitshot weights, and small bait hooks. (small hooks catch any fish) You will need one container of worms per 2 boys and don't take a rod for yourself. You will be working to hard with them to fish. You will also need some help. I like to have 1 adult per 4 boys. It's takes alot of hands to help them out. You will need a camera. Oh and take plenty of patients. You'll need it to.

Beginner Bow Hunting Setup
He may not let you tag along at first. Ask him if he will help you pick out a good bow for you and then if he can help you learn how to shoot it. There is nothing better than a good mentor.

Beginner Bow Hunting Setup
Nothing beats a shooting partner. Back when I got started there were very few people who hunted with a bow. I was self taught. But now it's easy to find someone who shoots. Since you live in a small town, everyone knows everyone so just start asking around and in no time you should find someone willing to shoot with you and get you started on the right foot.

Need Some Br Wisdom
Yes it's true. Breakups happen when guys get deployed. I've been at the Army Enlisted Club the weekend after the Navy sent a fleet out for six months and seen all the young girls with wedding ring tans on their left hand. It was pretty sad. But more marriages stay together than those that break up. My brother-in-law has been in two wars and deployed more times than I can remember and he's still married to my sister. I have a good friend who I've known since he was a 2nd Lieutenant and he is now a Major in the Special Forces. He was one of the ones who disappeared just minutes after the events of 9/11. He's been gone more than he's been home and he and his wife are still very much committed to each other. Plan for the future, set goals, and be honest and committed to each other and there shouldn't be a problems during a deployment. Get her set up with internet and Skype before you leave and you will be able to talk to here face to face all the time. Call her every day that you can and don't get mad when you can't get in touch with her for a day or two. The time difference is hard to get used to at first. Good luck and keep your eyes open and stay alert.

Need Some Br Wisdom
I take it this is your first deployment. Take some advice from an old soldier. Take the offer and stash all that tax free pay and hazard pay into the bank and have yourself the start of a down payment on your first house when you get home. VA loans are great. I'm still living in my first house thanks to a great VA loan. I'm just sayin.

Alright Here We Go...help!
When a spinnerbait falls the blade spins like a hellicopter. So hit the cover and let it fall down, or you can try a YoYo retrieve.

Alright Here We Go...help!
Reaction baits are good in conditions like that if they can be worked slow. I wouldn't use a Rattle Trap or anything were I had to reel it very fast though. That's why a big Colorado bladed spinnerbait is about the only reaction bait I would concider. Another option is a big bladed chatterbait. When I get a hit on the spinnerbait I pick up the jig and work the area slow and hard. There are usually other fish in the area.

Alright Here We Go...help!
From your description it sounds like that lake is getting a pretty good algae bloom. With visibility like that I go to dark colors and noisy lures. Spinnerbaits with a single Colorado blade, white and chartreuse Dark jigs with rattles. Dark soft plastics, T-rigged with a bead between the hook and the weight. Sometimes two beads JJ's Magic on all jigs and plastics. Bump that spinnerbait into everything and have a trailer hook pegged on it. Fish as slow as you can with every bait you use untill the bass show you they want it fast. When bass are faced with low visibility they like to put their nose on something. Be it a dock post, rock, stick, peice of grass, anything. They don't feel safe unless they can see something. Make several accurate casts at everything you can.
