Introducing Kids Into Hunting
If you feel like he's ready for it then do it. You know him best. That's my main deciding factor. If they are ready then do it. My boys start asking if they can come to deer camp as soon as they can talk. The rule has always been that as soon as they are potty trained they can go and camp with me. That's when they get started.

Introducing Kids Into Hunting
I started my boys out by just watching videos with them and pretending like we were the hunters. I let them use their toy gun. This taught them how to be quiet in the blind and where to aim on the deer. Then when they were old enough to walk safely through the woods I started taking them on walks with me in the woods to do some scouting. I let them carry a toy gun and started teaching them how to carry it safely and keep their finger off the trigger. I take them to the range starting at 5years old and let them shoot my 22 while sitting in my lap. That way I have total control of the gun. At 6, if they are ready I let them shoot from the bench with me within arms reach. I also get them their own BB gun. That's only if they are ready. I have a 7yo that is almost ready. He'll get his this year. Then if they are shooting well and have learned how to handle a gun safely I take them hunting with me. Now when they've seen me shoot a few deer and I feel like they can handle it I let them be the shooter. I have a .243 for them to shoot but I let them practice shooting through a scoped 22 at the range. They don't shoot the .243 until they shoot a deer. This way they don't have a chance to get scared of the slight kick that the .243 has before they shoot a deer. When they are the shooter they don't get the gun until it's time to shoot. I carry it and keep it beside me the whole time. When we get into the blind we practice what we are going to do when it's time to shoot. We do this with an empty gun a few times. I place the gun into the proper window and he slides into position to shoot and when he's ready I take the safety off. That way when it's time to shoot we don't have to say a thing. It just happens. This is my sons first deer. He made a perfect shot and was just 8 years old.

Do You Fish With Your Significant Other?
To be honest my wife either was never taught or forgot how to have fun. She's the serious one..... I'm not. It balances out.

If you count when I take the boat to the other side of the lake then yes I fish South Carolina. I live a mile from the GA, SC line.

Spro Bronzeye Pop
Starting to sink after a minute is not a huge concern. If you get one that starts to sink in a few seconds then there is a problem. Of the dozens of Bronzeye Frogs that I've had only one gave me problems with sinking. When it does I just fill the hole with some Mega Strike every 10 or 15 minutes and keep fishing.

Barrel Break In
I had my long range target barrel scoped with a camera after 5 years of using Moly and there were no pits. Of course it was a high grade stainless steel barrel.

Are All Polarized Glasses The Same?
I used to think that they were the same untill I fished with a buddy who had some Costas. The water was very clear and he could always see the fish following the lure back to the boat and I couldn't. As soon as I got a chance I forked out the money for a good pair of Costas and I have never looked back. Like has been said. You get what you pay for.

Barrel Break In
I've always done it. I remember back when they first came out with moly bullets. My dad and I had been dipping our reloads and coating the inside of our barrels with it for several years by then. I made us laugh when they called it a "new" technology.

What Do They Put In Scents That Makes The Scent Penetrate The Plastic?
What scent? Every company uses different things. I know Spike-it uses Acitone. Which by the way is one of many reasons why it doesn't work as well as JJ's Magic.

First Gun
I got my first gun when I was 14. It was a Marlin 35Rem. I shot a few deer with it. It is a great brush gun.

Best Bass/bluegill Combo Lures?
Due to the size of the bluegill in my lake my go to lure wouldn't work for most other lakes. I use a Lucy Craft CB to find the bluegill in my lake. But the best all around dual bait would be a 1/8 or 1/16 oz RoadRunner.
