  1. I'd give my right arm for 70 degree water right now. The water down here is in the upper 80s and low 90s by the end of the day and the fish are very deep or holding close to current produced by feeder creeks. They are only active when water is being let out of the dam.
  2. My favorite is a Holland & Holland Royal Deluxe Over and Under 20 bore..... Just sayin.
  3. Today we will have a high of 101 with near 100% humidity and no chance of rain. I won't have to drink a thing today. I'll just breath my water.
  4. I live about a mile from the South Carolina border. If I wanted to pay for their Out of State License I could hunt deer next month. But thier license is more than my hunting club dues.
  5. Just 2 months for me. Sept 10th is the Bow opener. I've got a Wildlife Managment Area that I want to check out this year. It's boat access only so it should be a good challange. I'm heading out in a couple of weeks to do some scouting. Then I'll be ready to rock and roll.
  6. Academy Sports H2O Deep cranks are great right out of the box. There $5 a peice.
  7. Dipping a black, green or any other color worm in JJ's magic will not remove the original color of the worm and replace it with the color of JJ's. The original color of the worm will always effect the final color of the dipped worm. There is a guy in Louisiana who will make some worms with a white tipped tail so you can get a perfect color if you want. The final color of the dipped worm will look light untill you put it in the water. That's when it will glow the brightest.
  8. I bought their jig rod two years ago and it broke the next day. Not on the tip either. 18 inches up the shaft from the handle. I was just setting the hook on a three pounder.
  9. Thermacell is the best thing on the market. This time of year I don't go fishing in the evening without it. The best thing is you don't have to put anything on your skin.
  10. Maybe it will cause you to start putting your posts in the correct forum.
  11. If you feel like you are ready for a challenge like that then go ahead and do it, but I would consider broadening your choice of lures. Also make sure your bass are keepers. (12 inches or greater) My goal each time I'm out is to catch at least a 10lb limit. I don't always accomplish it but that is always my goal.
  12. I did. My dad is a trout fisherman. If the water ain't cold and moving he won't fish it. So I taught myself most of what got me started and then I found BassResource and here I am.
  13. Keith!!!!! What's up brother. It's good to see you one here. Guys Hound_Dog is ligit. He can find fish in a mud hole.
  14. This company sells every piece of crap gimmick lure out there. (Kick Tail, Walking Worm, Bright Light Lure, Pen fisherman.......) It makes money off of you but it makes most of it's money by selling your personal information to third parties. If you order any of there products you will notice an steady increase in spam, junk mail and even marketing calls. Just don't do it.
  15. From experience I would first educate myself on the records. Be it State or body of water. Then I would follow the guidelines set out by the state to get it weighed. I caught a 4.2lb Redear on the Savannah river several years ago and I didn't find out that it was a River Record till nearly a year later. It would have beat the record by over a pound.
  16. 12 inch Mann's Jelly Worm. I T-Rig it on a 5/0 Offset Gamakatsu 10 inch Rage Thumper Worm C-Rig on a 5/0 Offset Gamakatsu
  17. I'm not sure if you're talking about the same rod. If I uderstand it right Academy just came out with those rods last month.
  18. You have no clue what you're talking about. There are other forums that you can go hang out in. It won't hurt our feelings.
  19. Nope I didn't have those problems. I broke the only Carrot Stick I will ever own the first day I fished with it. It was the heavy action jig rod and I broke it when setting the hook on a 4 pound fish. Those rods SUCK.
  20. Those Spot-tails are Gem Quality man. I love them.
