ok guys i was using braid this weekend and when i would set the hook my line broke twice at the knot....i have never had this problem with mono or fluoro. so do you guys have a special knot you guys tie for braid? becuase mine wasnt working.

hey guys im flying home for leave back to michigan this sunday and was wondering if it is ok to fly with fishing tackle. i wanted to take home some plastics, topwater cranks and jigs and spinnerbaits lures of that sort in my plano tackle trays. i was going to put them in my checked baggage. i dont want to have to buy stuff when i go home so thats why i am doing this. has anyone ever did this? i didnt know if they would see all the hooks and that and try and take my stuff. sorry if this is a stupid question.

well guys i got back last night and figured i would post a report. i will post pics later when i get all of them..started out the day using topwater my buddy caught the first fish it was only a bout 10inches long. later in the day we started flipping bushes i caught one that was about 2lbs using a baby *** from ***. later we move to another cove when it started raining and he caught a 1lber on a *** trick stick. after that fish we saw a bunch of fish surfacing right behind us and i just put on a storm shad swimbait for the heck of it. throw that out there and immediately hooked into a good white bass it was 14inches long. he through out and got one to about 12inches long. the school of white bass left so we drove around looking for more schools of them and found one more caught two more out of them and they got spooked so those were the last fish of the day. it was a fun trip even though we didnt catch what im used to catching over there. but i will post pics later.

well guys its 330 in the morning here in new mexico. im taking the two hour drive to elephant butte today with one of my buddies who doesnt fish for bass that much. so i hope i can get him hooked like i am. wish me luck and a safe trip.

love throwing them in grass submerged about 1ft under the water. also the spring time is awesome when the bass are on the flats. i throw near any stumps, seawalls, docks and grass.

ok guys i was wondering if anyone lives very close to gladwin county and would like to go out for one day. i am coming home for leave for 2 weeks and me and my buddy would really like to get out and do some fishing. my dad sold his boat so i wont be able to use that. i would be willing to help with gas and other expenses. i would also be willing to drive 1hr. thanks for any help.

cheapest i saw it was 3.49 in texas here in new mexico it is 3.63

i do alot of erratic jerks through about half the retrieve then pause it and do small jerks with longer pauses and that really seems to work well for me...did really well this spring for smallies and largemouth.

how much for one of the bluegill ones? i would love to have one like that, it is amazing. good work.

ok when you spool braid onto a baitcaster do you use a mono leader first? i have spooled all my baitcasters with no problem so i decide to try braid and i made my first pitch i tried reeling the lure in the handle turned but no line came in. the braid was slipping on the spool. how do you guys spool your braid on baitcasters? directly to the spool or with a leader?

just wondering if you suggest this or not. i know a guy who uses braided line on his spinning reels and i was wondering if you guys have ever used this for finesse fishing. i was planning on trying it for shakey heads and small baits thanks.

hey guys just bought some storm wildeye swim baits. the shad colored ones they look just like a shad and i figured i would try them since i havent tried swim baits yet. whats the best way to fish these? i fish alot of bushes and rock areas basically flipping and pitching also topwater and spinnerbaits in these areas. is this a good area to fish swimbaits? casting them and reeling them through the bushes? any help would be awseome thanks.

anyone ever fish this lake. went there yesterday and didnt to any good but i talked to a guy who was buying a flipping rod and he saId they hammer them in the trees there. i cant get to the trees with no boat since i dont have mine cuz im TDY. just wondering if anyone has fished there and has some tips.

i also do this everytime that i go out. i havent been able to fish a tournament in a yr and a half but i still practice like i am fishing one. i want to get back into tournys this yr again.

have you tried frogs early or late in the day over tops of the grass mats. also have you tried flipping the grass mats with creatures, jigs or worms?

haha ya my truck is fine now thanks for asking they said that the computer in my tranny was all messed up but they paid for it didnt cost me a dime. thanks though. the reason i was wondering about the bearings without taking off the hub was beacuase i was going to go to a friends house and take care of the bearings so i didnt want to take it apart. just seeing if anyone had the same thing. but i can still take it apart just checking though.

anyone have this model or know anything about it i was just wondering what the size the wheel bearing might be?

what lakes are you fishing? i used to live in gladwin county and we would smash the largies up there. we fished secord lake, wixom lake, smallwood lake those were the big fish producers 3-4lbers all day on docks either skipping senkos,black and blue jigs or sounds crazy but a frog we would skip under docks just pop it while its under there and they would blow up on it or under pontoons was awesome to. there was a couple other lakes but i dont want to name them becuase there only about 200 acres that we could catch 4lbers all day wouldnt want to let the secret out. i never seen anyone fishing for bass at these lakes hardly at all.

just have a quick question im thinking about getting a new trolling motor becuase my 40lb thrust minn kota motor doesnt push my boat fast enough when there is rough water...actually it doesnt even move most of the time..my boat is a bass tracker pro 17. i was looking at a 55lb thrust trolling motor and was wondering if i have to have a circuit breaker hooked up to the motor or not..becuase on my last boat i just had the 40lb thrust motor hooked straight up to the battery on our 14ft old jon boat.. thanks

hey guys just got news that i am going to fire school for 3 weeks in july and into august just wondering if anyone lives close by or in wichita falls and would want to hook up and go fishing one weekend? i know lake arrowhead is awesome for largies. its about 15 minutes from sheppard AFB where i will be at school. but if anyone lives close by or within an 1hr driving distance that would be awesome thanks guys. i cant wait i will be fishing all the time.
