  1. the only thing you can say about Bill is: he has the best bloopers and he must have a "play with the fish at the boat" fetish.
  2. dead bucks on the side of the road equals rut is on.
  3. the ballistics difference between the .308, .270, and the 30-06 can be covered with a dime IMO. the .243 should only be in the hands of a journeyman shooter.
  4. your shoulder must hate you. that said i love the performance of the .308. 125 gr. ballistic tip, 47 grains IMR 4320 and ill take down anything on 4 legs in my 4 state area.
  5. my father and i have a running joke that says for the most part its not a fishing trip until we catch a drum. over the years weve boated some big drum. weve broke off a few drum at Clinton.
  6. im glad you figured it out without giving up.
  7. no idea what a clutch bar is but i believe you.
  8. id take sideplate off the handle side then re-assemble the drive shaft on the frame and see what does what.
  9. how does the handle spin with the spool disengaged? (button pushed) you say "drag is locked". are you saying you crank the drag star down to max or just to the point where theres enough pressure to make the drive shaft turn the gear?
  10. fished Cedar from 11-3 today. it was hella hot BUT caught fish.
  11. yep. on a dam thats 300 yards long. ONE tree in the 300 yards.....
  12. ppl selling that reel for over $200 would be looking for a sucker.
  13. yep. guess were entitled to be ****** though since we have status.
  14. this. spooling a spinning reel can be tricky so take your time. i find it easier to have a helper and spool from a distance.
  15. Daiwa Fuego strapped to a Shimano Cumara M/XF. it does most everything well and a few thing very well. it throws a fluke into next week.
  16. i assume im not alone here but grass carp cooked properly is good to eat. we set rigged 8' step ladders up in the creeks. its a blast!
  17. yep. my father boats a 3-4 lbs smallie in Kansas and ill take a pic of that every time.
  18. can you feed a piece of garden hose down to that point of the trailer?
  19. id use your old wire to pull the new wire through the trailer.
  20. something in the Revo series is a start. Daiwa Aggrest if you want a fast retrieve.you should be able to find a great used reel or a good new reel for $100
  21. i think the best bang for the buck is a lightly used reel that retailed for $100-$170. with some leg work these can be picked up at a fair price. the sad truth is even new reels out of the box often will not work to their full potential before being serviced by a pro.
  22. this, shaky head and a weightless worm.....drop shot....lighter spinner baits. just keep in mind that if you use the rod for single hook application you will want to use small gauge hooks.
  23. rumor is its the same blank as the BPS piece, possible the guides are the same as well.
