For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Fished Stockton today. Took a bit to find fish. Steep rock ledges and of all things a drop-shot finally put fish in the boat. Had one fish on a DT6 secondary point. Anyone been on LOZ in a few weeks? If you need help or tips on loading your bass boat without the big motor, msg me and I'll meet you out there and give you a walk-through. It's super easy.

DIY solo bass boat
YouTube "Tiny Boat Nation". But like others have said, hang a trolling motor, some type of graph, and a battery and go fish.

So, I messed up...
Run the boat as it sits without the bondo/plate. See what happens. On a side note, is that a huge hole in the boat just behind the circled area? It's hard to tell what part of the boat we're looking at.

Stockton Lake is on right now. Took a bit to get on the fish but once we did we crushed them. No huge fish but a lot of 2.5-3lbs fish. Swim jig on rock walls in about 35 feet of water.

Melvern is really on for Smallies right now. A lot of 3 lbs'ers. Swimjigs and swimbaits. Fish in the wind.

Cutting out the second console?
Roger that. The boat is being set up to fish the solo series so it's just in the way. I have the use of another boat when the comfort of others is needed. The boat is a 1988 BassTracker 1800 FS. Anything I cut off the thing will be trashed for sure.

Cutting out the second console?
I really dislike it being there. I'd rather have floor space.

Are Megabass jerkbaits really king or is it a confidence thing?
I would agree 100%. But only after I have knocked the "shine" off them with a scotchbrite pad. Whole new level.

Removing gear oil from carpet?
I'd rather not say. I will say US Boatworks and Truman Lake Marine have both done great work for me.

I have yet to not weigh fish out there. That said, we won't talk about much after that lol. I don't put the work in out there like a few other places. If you fish a 20 boat tourney out there that's a lot of boats, if you don't blast off in the top 10 you get to reinvent the wheel. I see myself as a sponsor really. Going to Truman to get roughed up sunday. probably get lost on the lake..

I'd rather bass fish Wal-Mart parking lot vs that place. I never do well out there.

Removing gear oil from carpet?
Thanks for the replies. I'm removing the carpet and have the deck clean. There was so much gear oil that the backing had come apart. So, along with new carpet I'm going to install a trolling motor pedal tray and extend the deck. Still have 2 weeks before the Hot Water Series fires off. Should be plenty of time.

Removing gear oil from carpet?
I had the wrong shop rebuild the power head on my boat and when I finally got my boat back, among the places where my boats gel coat had been damages I found out my front deck had been soaked in gear oil. I've tried many things and I'm one step away from ripping out the carpet and replacing it. It's nasty and reeks. Any ideas?

That was only like 3.7lbs. Next time you fish that set your boat on the red dot and see if you do better. And, you might need to be farther out than that.

I don't fish Melvern like I used too, the big MO lakes have had me busy. I did make it down there yesterday. Was slow, shorts here and there had a huge Smallie and a few 15" LM. I had ran through most of my spots and was ready to leave but decided to hi one last spot on the way back. We landed on that spot just before 2pm. By 2:20 we had caught 6 keepers and maybe 20 other fish under 15". My father was tossing a square bill that couldn't be close to hitting the bottom. I was drop shotting a Googan Baits Drag And Drop mixed in with a underspin Swing Impact. You can see the shallow spot in the image. The cove is the big one going north just east of Turkey point. I have a video of my electronics I'll post if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Wiggle Wart and age of said WW
Does anyone know of a site that has timelines for Wiggle Wart production? Found not one but 2 odd Wiggle Warts floating last week on Table Rock. This one looks like every other one I've seen, but the other states "Suspending". Thanks.

Table Rock should just get better until the hottest days. The Smallies are coming right along and the Spots are still insane. An, you have those big girls just waiting. We fished Lost Hill Island and Mill Creek every day except Monday and caught nice fish. The point north of Viola gave out great numbers as well. I hope you get a minute for the water, should be an amazing crankbait bite about that time.
