Thanks for the comments guys. Andrew, I usually don't have much luck with topwater period. But I guess the conditions were right, and since the water was a little murky from the off and on rain I thought the darker frog would be good. My buddy also slayed em' with the rage shad. We caught ten together.

Just got in from the honey hole. I was a little disappointed by the fish I was catching at fountainhead lately on my week off, I decided to finish it off with some frog fishing at the local pond.

Bait looks good, nice fish man.

I stopped by Royal for an hour yesterday with a friend and my nephew. My friend hooked into a nice two pounder on a buzzbait, but the fish threw the hook. Whats the deal with all the construction near the dam?

Nice! Been skunked the few times I've been there. Its hard to believe there are no decent bass there, its a pretty nice size body of water.

landed 4, biggest being a 2lber. Two on a jig, two on jerkbait. Nothing special, but a great day to be out there. Good luck tomorrow

You get what you pay for. Its an O.K. rod. I fished one for a month or so, and it held up fine. My buddy uses them right now and he likes them, except for our last outing one of the guide inserts popped out of his spinning rod. I think he's ready to upgrade. If you decide to buy one off the floor, give it a good look before paying for it, I had to exchange the one I bought because I noticed in the parking lot as I was leaving that one of the guides were broken. I would suggest saving a little more an going with an all star or something.
