good post. thanks This is what I've found to be the most helpful in my own jig fishing. I don't want the jig swinging back at me, but at the same time need to see any line movement or possibly feel for any changes.
  5. #1-jig n pig #2-search bait, spinnerbait/lipless crank
  6. Good thread. I have known my best friend for more than ten years. There have been many times he has stood up for me in those ten years, and that includes being the only one in a group of so called "friends" that didn't run when I was getting the $h!t kicked out of me.
  7. I guess being a Skins fan named dallas isn't as bad as being a dallas fan living in washington. ;D Can't you get like a Duke hat or something?
  8. Thanks for the comments guys. Okrod, I've caught a few like this but on cranks. ;D the thing is I never saw either, but they were pulling drag like crazy and that doesn't happen too often. I keep my drag pretty tight. To make sure I wasn't going crazy, I said to my buddy "hey look" and pointed to my line as it started creepin off to the side, and he gave me a look like "What you telling me for, set the hook!" So I slammed it and fought for a few seconds then *POP* :'(
  9. Man, talk about one of the worst feelings. The important thing is that you try to take something from it. You'll get her next time.
  10. Saturday started out pretty bad. All together I lost 4 at the boat. Two of them that would make you sick to the stomach. After the last one I was screaming "I'll be back %*&h@#(*#$, and you'll be sorry!" I checked all my gear and everything looked good. They weren't breaking my line, and I was really slammin the hooksets, so I dunno why they were coming off. I finally ended up with one 20 min before we left on a blk/blu jig. It was nice, but the other two will be haunting me for a while. ;D

I have to pay a visit to the new memorial that opened today at the pentagon, as well as my grandfather at the national cemitary. He used to work at the pentagon. He was very ill at Arlington Hospital the day the planes hit. He passed away 9/12/2001. He is now burried facing the side of the building that was hit. I like to believe he knew what was happening and gave up his bed to someone who may have been injured in the attacks, as the hospital was very crowded.

  18. I believe there was a similar machine made in the 60's on a MUCH smaller scale.
  19. Well it was turned on this morning and.....no black hole. I believe its a bit more than that. The group that spent the last 25 years constructing this machine also created the internet and released it to the public. I'm sure people called that a waste of money too.
  20. Nice job, glad to hear they're starting to chase the spinnerbaits.
