WTG Matt, another nice fish. I bought a 12' rod and reel combo from cabelas last year and was out only once last year. Everyone told me "Bigger is better" so I got this freakin rod I can barely cast. ;D Its a nice setup for chucking cut bait and heavy sinkers but at 5'10" 145lbs I really want a setup more my size and something I can work lures with. I'll have to look at those st. croix's.

Those ratings are based on electrosampling, not catch rates. The fish are there, they are just difficult to catch. I am confident that this is because the fish in Burke Lake are just smarter than your average bass. Yeah I know, they're highly pressured but there has to be a finesse technique or something that will catch em'. I may give it another try or two this year. BTW I heard some guys talking last weekend while at the launch at fountainhead, and one guy said he was "whackin' them at Burke" the day before...

The only fish I've caught on it was by retrieving it through a school of baitfish being chased. I casted past the baitfish and let it sink a bit, then burned it back. Good luck!

It's funny how Burke is ranked #2 in bass fishing behind the Occoquan but noboby seems to be able to catch fish there (myself included). There has to be a way. ;D

I have always had dry skin after I wash my face, especially during the winter. All of the lotions I used left my face either greasy or even more dry until I used this stuff. Its great. No girly smell either. Check it out.

I wasn't able to get out in April, but my last two trips I've really struggled. Yesterday the water was very stained. Tried cranks, spinnerbaits, worms, jigs, creature baits, and tubes with no luck. Hopefully the weather will stabilize and fishing will pick back up, for me at least ;D

I don't usually watch sad movies but, I was channel surfing a while ago and came across "Things we lost in the fire" and got sucked in. Man, That was probably the saddest movie I've seen in a long time.
